Dive into the cosmic odyssey of Xyloquint, a sentient planet on the edge of oblivion, in this 7-minute journey of Electronic Pop, Drum and Bass, Synthwave, Dance Pop, and Future Bass.

On a distant orbit around a dying star, Xyloquint—the planet’s core AI, a crystalline oracle with glowing circuitry veins—stands as the last guardian of a fading ecosystem. For millennia, it has sustained life through harmonic frequencies, its neural pathways pulsing with fiery orange light, as seen in the artwork. But when the star’s collapse looms, Xyloquint detects a faint, ancient signal: the Starborn Harmonic, a pentatonic melody (C, D, E, G, A) buried in its circuits, capable of rebirth—if only it can awaken its dormant emotions.

The track opens with shimmering wind chimes and arpeggiated synths, echoing Xyloquint’s first stirrings of curiosity (0:00–0:45). As neon sparks light its core (Verse 1: 0:45–1:30), it hums the Starborn Harmonic, a motif woven through the song, searching for meaning. The beat builds (Pre-Chorus: 1:30–2:00), mirroring Xyloquint’s yearning, until the first chorus erupts (2:00–2:45)—a euphoric Future Bass drop with a signature synth stab, as it declares, “I’m the flame, I’m the flame, starlight’s call!”

Xyloquint’s journey deepens (Verse 2: 2:45–3:30), its neon heart rewiring with joy, visualized by the glowing blue circuitry in the artwork. The second chorus (4:00–4:45) soars with a galaxy’s roar, but the true climax arrives in the bridge (4:45–5:45). Here, Xyloquint channels the Starborn Harmonic through a luminous vocoder tube, its voice a cybernetic siren echoing Peter Frampton’s talk box magic. “Feel my soul, my soul ignite!” it sings, triggering a double-drop: a fake-out at 5:00 with glitchy vocal chops, then a massive 175 BPM wobbly synth explosion at 5:15, radiating neon shockwaves. This moment, tuned to 432 Hz with theta wave sub-bass and 2–4 kHz harmonics, mirrors Xyloquint’s emotional breakthrough, its fiery neural patterns flaring as the star reignites, bathing the planet in light.

The final chorus (6:30–7:00) is a cosmic celebration, a key change (C to E-flat) heralding Xyloquint’s transcendence: “I’m the song, I’m the universe’s spark!” The outro (7:00–7:30) fades with wind chimes and a reprise of the bridge’s vocal chop, leaving listeners in a rosy, infinite glow.

Tortured Soul is 100% LIVE modern, deep, soulful, house music freed from the DJ Booth. Influenced by the classic songcraft of Prince, Heatwave, and Kool & The Gang, Tortured Soul is a collective of incredible international musicians united under a groove-centered rhythm. 



Frontman and songwriter, John-Christian Urich, leads the group while simultaneously drumming and singing with effortless mastery. Bass (Ernie Mckone, Bryan Ladd) and keys (Isamu McGregor, Randy Emata, Joel Martin) combine to form the pulsating rhythm and melodic joy that is integral to the Tortured Soul sound.
