This is an attempt at a song inspired by the picture, for Basschat's June composition challenge, where competitors (members of the basschat.co.uk Recording forum) are given 3 weeks to come up with a completely new composition based on a picture chosen by the previous month's winner (chosen by a peer vote). 

Unfortunately, the vocals aren't great, but that's just me.  The genre is a bit of a change for me as well, normally it's straight up rock with a lot more chords than this, but this is just how it turned out! The working title for this song was "Bu**erItsAFunkSong" because Funk is normally referred to as the "F-word" in the world I inhabit.

The basic premise for this track is a mental 'time-out' during an argument,  with one of the protagonists (you decide which) wondering how 200 000 years of human evolution with all that entails has led to this situation.

A last minute entry for May's BassChat Composition Challenge.  I'll be honest, it was a last minute job and is so far out there in the left-field for me that it's out of bounds!  Using about 6 different patches for Camel's Alchemy (before they sold out to the big fruit company) and some voice FX courtesy of Nectar Elements.

Rainmaker

A solo alto sax track loosely influenced by the great Kenny G - although he tends to play soprano sax.  Although I do play the real instrument, on this recording I'm playing my AKAI EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) and using the Alto Sax Jazz sound from the Garritan software provided.
