The roots writhe beneath the soil like veins under skin.

They pulse with something that feels far too alive.

I feel your fear.

I feel your hate.

I feel your sadness.

I feel your loneliness.

So then, it is settled.

I will absorb your SOUL and the rest.

You are no longer in control.

Your SOUL can speak.

Rest In Pieces

LOG #1:
If the queen won't take action...
I will.
Monsters have suffered enough from her neglect.
This isn't about what she wants anymore.
I will find a way to shatter the BARRIER faster.

LOG #2:
Seven.
Seven human souls, and the barrier can be broken.
SOULS can't be remade using science, and with this dump of a facility, it'd be harder to try.

LOG #3:
Taking monster SOUL is risky.
It's hard to pull off, and even harder to maintain.
Not only that, but the SOUL's host would be instantly destroyed.
But what if...
What if monsters could come back even after death?

LOG #4:
Strange how the queen's never inspected her own home.
I found tapes. Dusty old ones...
I don't think she's listened to them.
Big mistake.

LOG #5:
Bingo.
It is in the nature of some humans to possess an ability that makes them persist.
The will to be undying, their hearts beating with the power to steer fate.
I'm calling this power...
"Determination."

LOG #6:
I've rallied up some of the ROYAL GUARD members who are falling down.
I told them I'll be making them stronger for combat against possible humans.
They all came in today, and I've put them in their respective rooms.
I feel like a military captain.

LOG #7:
I'll need to inject their bodies with DT.
After their soul starts to falter, that's when I'll strike.
But after thinking for a while, I wondered...
What if I repeated this process with a HUMAN corpse instead of a monster one?

LOG #9:
Everything seemed to be working. They were all injected with the serum.
Although it didn't work as I expected it to.
Their souls cracked and shattered, but they didn't turn into dust.
Their corpses are in the rooms, still. 

LOG #12: 
I need to brute force this.
If humans can persist after death, then monsters should too.
I don't care anymore. 
I'm...
I'm going to inject them all again.
We will be undying.

LOG #13: 
The guards woke up.
They're walking around, patrolling the place.
They're acting as if nothing happened.
Are they..?

LOG #15:
I was going to send them all back to duty, but...
They're not responding to me.
It's like they're just spirits...
I tried to take off the helmet off one of them but...
Inside, it was just melted nonsense.
What have I done..? 

LOG #16:
They've been searching for humans all day.
They're like machines.
Their only purpose was to capture and destroy...
And now they're acting on it.

LOG #17:
They've started to follow non-existent orders.
Scarily linear ones.
...
If a human ever finds this place in the future...
I'm sorry.
There's no way you're getting out alive.
