Our pasts, futures, and presents all power one another - so where does that leave us now? Memories, dreams, and the space between the two. Reborn adolescent dreams freshly filtered through the lens of growing older. What did it mean to feel those ways anyway? What does it mean now, and when will that change? This is a record about making sense of my own place in the world; old memories inform new ones, new memories recontextualize old ones.

In a way it's the record I've wanted to make since my teens, although I had no idea that I'd ever be able to make that record, or that I'd go about making it like this, until it had already taken shape. Its style owes so much to the post-rock and neo-classical artists I listened to back then, and the sponge of youthful naivete with which I absorbed their work, their sensibilities forever informing my past, future, and present. What's important to you changes over time, and this is equally about remembering those convictions and moving on.

Musically this record is about bringing forth the natural from the unnatural, using pieces of the past to write the future, and above all the ambiguous between-spaces found within those juxtapositions. If we always live in the past, future, and present, then so too does this music.

It'll rip your heart out if you're not careful.
