SOULS can't be remade using science, and with this dump of a facility, it'd be harder to try.

Taking monster SOUL is risky.
It's hard to pull off, and even harder to maintain.
Not only that, but the SOUL's host would be instantly destroyed.
But what if...
What if monsters could come back even after death?

LOG #4:
Strange how the queen's never inspected her own home.
I found tapes. Dusty old ones...
I don't think she's listened to them.
Big mistake.

LOG #5:
Bingo.
It is in the nature of some humans to possess an ability that makes them persist.
The will to be undying, their hearts beating with the power to steer fate.
I'm calling this power...
"Determination."

LOG #6:
I've rallied up some of the ROYAL GUARD members who are falling down.
I told them I'll be making them stronger for combat against possible humans.
They all came in today, and I've put them in their respective rooms.
I feel like a military captain.

LOG #7:
I'll need to inject their bodies with DT.
After their soul starts to falter, that's when I'll strike.
But after thinking for a while, I wondered...
What if I repeated this process with a HUMAN corpse instead of a monster one?

LOG #9:
Everything seemed to be working. They were all injected with the serum.
Although it didn't work as I expected it to.
Their souls cracked and shattered, but they didn't turn into dust.
Their corpses are in the rooms, still.

If humans can persist after death, then monsters should too.

Geno boss 2! Undyne! 
It was really fun seeing all your theories, please make more! we have 2 more until the ost's complete... i could shed a tear...

For a bit of context on the scene, the entirety of magmadrop is a bomb rush styled area in genocide, you have to fight tons of guards that have been stationed out, mostly for stalling since alphys is in full control of evacuating the underground. After the loss of sans, alphys makes the NEOARM, a hastly built gun-arm weapon for undyne to use in battle. The only downside of this weapon is that it sucks out determination from the user in favor for power, but if used correctly, can overwrite the determination of any being with a single blast. Undyne believes this power will finally make her able to defeat you, as she can prepare everytime you reset, but eventually when the machine is at it's max power, she tries using it and it backfires, exploding on her instead, she becomes paralyzed and melts infront of you as the fight ends, and she dies. The song is meant to convey pure urgency and power, it's not meant to convey any feeling of hopefulness until the very end, it's very much so meant to be hard hitting and fear-inducing.

Extra info: her form evolves through the fight, the design on the thumbnail is a tiny bit outdated, will supply everyone with proper geno refs soon.

geno track 3. Hoooh. 
Apologies if this track's disappointing. This track is meant to represent pure anger from Nyameko and her mind's current instability at this point in the story. Her BERSERKER form increases her ATK and DEF greatly, and the only way to get through her is to enrage her further so that she can fuse with her body, and then you're able to 1-shot her. In a way, you can call this her "undying" form, but not really. After the death of undyne, FROSTBYTE is nearly empty, with more monsters evacuated successfully, but you still make it to the SPIRE in time before everything gets put on lockdown, This is what "locks" the route in. The artifact is never mentioned before this route, its the red dog one from undertale, but it holds immense power, hence why undyne never uses it in neutral or pacifist, nothing dire happens enough for it to be used.
