===== NOTES =====
UNDERTALE: STORYSHIFT is a reimagining of Storyshift, set in a post-pacifist timeline of Undertale. Many years after Monsterkind had finally been set free, Alphys suggested to her friends that they all dress up as each other for Halloween, playing off the whole "dressing up as monsters" thing that humans were still prone to doing. A lot of them really seemed to like the idea. So much so, that a certain ghostly, theatrical entertainment robot would be inspired to write a stage play for him and his friends to perform in.

Mettaton is meant to represent Chara, and takes a much more literal "Narrator" role. Being the writer of the stage play, and given the cards he had been dealt in the big Halloween Dress-up Party, Mettaton figured he'd be fine taking a less active role in the stage play. That is, until now.

Mettaton's play takes on a shocking twist. It's Halloween! What kind of writer would Mettaton be if he didn't give it a spooky twist!? Not even the other performers knew this was going to happen! The cast has no choice but to play along, and play dead when their time comes.

Happy Halloween everyone!

I have a little more to share about this song in particular, because for me, this is a little more than just UT:STORYSHIFT's take on MEGALOVANIA. Many, MANY years ago, before I even had access to FL Studio and was stuck making music on this crappy midi music app (which I love dearly), I was inspired to make a Storyshift Megalo.
A dear friend of mine back then helped me by porting it over to FL Studio and applying better-sounding instruments than I myself was able to use (on account of being stuck with midi to mp3 converters).

Ever since getting my hands on FL Studio, I've tried over and over and over again to bring the song back with the newfound abilities I had. It's gone through various scrapped, unfinished incarnations that never really saw the light of day past being shared among friends.

It's been a little over 8 years since the original version of the song was made and posted, that's about a third of my life so far. This project opened up an opportunity to bring this song to life, proper, and to even attach it to something greater than itself.

As a final reminder (and I suppose as a truly PROPER announcement of it because I realize I did a poor job communicating as much before): This is NOT the end of UNDERTALE: STORYSHIFT. There will be more for this project at a later date! See this as an "abridged" version of the soundtrack. There's plenty left for us to explore in the future. Including, quite possibly, additional content that exists beyond the scope of the play itself.

i started this song a few months ago, back when the new chapters came out, but i decided to take a break from it. but... halloween, though, inspired me to pick it back up, anyway

I decided to go for something experimental this time, mixing Traditional Jazz (New Orleans) + Big Band, and i also added some “cartoon spooky” instruments like eletric organ, bells, celesta, a sine wave (simulating a theremin) and a honky-tonk piano. i’m really proud of the results, hope you all enjoy it! ^^
