His interest in music started at an early age when he used to mime his favourite songs with his siblings who had a big influence on his musical background. HUZZET - SLaGGa

Rouan Justin Powell aka RjP is a Durban based RnB Pop singer and dancer who started his musical journey at the tender age of 8 years old. He was inspired greatly by the likes of Michael Jackson, Usher, and Genuine as just a few to mention. He recorded his debut single ‘Love Thang’ in 2006/2007 which was greatly received in KwaZulu-Natal. The song became his first hit single to enter the top 10 charts on East Coast Radio and other regional radio stations. He also shared the stage with the likes of Mario Ogle, the Sama Awards winner Jae, Trevor Williams from East Coast Radio, rapper T.S.O from legend group T.R.O and Mandoza. He then did a mini campaign for Love Life as an Aids Awareness campaign. In 2008 he toured primary schools as well as high schools on a drugs and alcohol awareness campaign which amounted to a huge success in K.Z.N. He also performed in major night clubs and in an end of year corporate events. His has recently recorded a full album in 2012. He is currently signed up with TOS Records. TOS Records is looking at competing with artists in the international RnB, POP, house and jazz arena.
