first to show up and last to leave: that's always been my kinda scene. 1000 in the back and 50 at the door. some guy with the whiskey back offering me an extra flask, saying tender was his lover ever since she woke up and never left. i know it. i can feel it. we're going down before we hit the ground. i know it. i said you can feel it. the night moves like some kinda storm. now we're cleaning up what's left when she said those lakes aren't that great. i haven't been back since i graduated.

nothing about her made any sense.  dripping wet from those munich brew tents. wringing wet from the fountains and those cold roman sunsets. singing and swinging and i know i'll never see her again. i said i'd do just about anything twice, and she said, yeah, why don't you kiss me standing up? i know it. you look like a guy i can lean on.  i know it. i know it. she took 'em all before she hit the ground. i know it. i can feel it. she said the good ones come in pairs now. i know it. i can feel it. i said you can't move the night, but i can help you lie down. she winked before passing out.
