After emigrating to the UK & with a burning passion for all things House music, Tony Cortez’s style as a DJ has been influenced by the tougher sounding UK House scene which has in turn, pumped up his own releases.

This is prevalent on his Trax debut ‘Aqui’, a pure fire cut of Tech House energy, emanating a vivid summer vibe throughout which echoes back those warm open air terrace parties we wish could happen all year round. One of the finest sets we heard at Miami Winter Music was Amal Nemer DJing at 1-800 Lucky. The highlight of her two-hour loopy tech journey was her version of the Rhianna classic "Don't Stop The Music", with Amal delivering a percussion groove reminiscent of cuts played by Tini Gessler and Carlita. Stripped back and super DJ-friendly, we have recreated the vocal for everyone to enjoy this Ibiza-primed banger. Dive in.
