Too Slow To Disco continues its goal to bring some much needed Sunshine, Love and Romance back into modern Pop music and dancefloors, via the new Sunset Nu Disco / Daytime Disco release on TSTD NEO: The original is a collaboration of two of the most interesting new modern Nu Disco/Pop producers, Canada’s NICOLAAS and Stockholm’s KIMCHII (on vocals). To round up the package, we present an incredibly smooth dubby downbeat disco remix by L.A.’s Turbotito (formerly one half of Poolside) and Kimchii gives the romantic POP original a more dancefloor orientated remix-version.

In NICOLAAS’ words:
“Nostalgia plays a huge role in this project. I find a lot of inspiration when looking back - be it to my own memories, older music, art, fashion, or perspectives in-general. There’s so much to look back at, it constantly pushes us forward. To me, this track evokes a feeling of nostalgia. Referring to love, looking back is a good way to ground yourself in the present. We learn more about ourselves with each relationship we build, and hopefully grow from those experiences.”

In Kimchii’s words:
”Forever Always is a song about love and desire which outplays in twilight landscapes, on a journey towards somewhere else. Both me and NICOLAAS vibe in these landscapes, so we created this song together online, by sending files back and forth to Winnipeg and Stockholm. Many parts of the track were written during the nighttime and I believe that gives the song that special feeling too.
We’re both more than happy to share the song with you all. You’re the light at the end of the tunnel - forever always!”

After a brief hiatus we are pleased to announce Mangled returns in 2014 with a new distribution deal through Juno.

First up is some Ray Mang versions of a song from Italian singer Mari (Marina Conti). Mariʼs album ʻGentle Beautyʼ produced together with singer songwriter Mozez (of Zero 7 fame) was released back in 2012 on Numen Records. Ray Mang took a shine to the second single ʻFreeʼ taking the vocals and piano from the original and re-crafting it into a stellar piece of modern euphoric disco. Presented here on heavyweight 180g 12” vinyl in three versions for your listening pleasure.

From its first play during Rayʼs DJ appearance at London party institution Low Life back in 2012 this track has been causing goose bumps.
