Another round up of the label roster in our second volume of the "Nice Up The Session" series, which is intended as a taster for the label, our artists and the music we love. As always there's more than a generous flavour of reggae in there, soaked up amidst the hip hop, dancehall, dub, jungle and drum & bass.

As usual, there's a few exclusive tracks included too - the Aries & Gold Dubs remix of Mr Benn's "Stand Up" finally sees a release after being held an as exclusive dubplate, as well as a killer old school jungle style remix of Blend Mishkin's hit "Foundation Style" by Danny T, Tradesman & Jakey Banton and a rolling remix of Mr Benn's "Know Themself" from Spain's Dubtime.

Who start the revolution? Thats the question that our fifth release featuring Sun I Tafari, based Cardiff singer with Jamaican roots is about.

In a world where the refugees, corruption, terrorism, discriminations, wars, and an endless disgraces are daily, South Yard join the fight and protest through the best way we know to do, with music.

For this time we bring an original reggae tune produced by Karlixx, with Sun I Tafari on the vocals, and remixed in a Jungle/Drum'n'Bass tip by Mooncat & Dubtime.

In the original mix and how we already are getting used, Karlixx demonstrate that he feels comfy making Reggae also as Jungle. With a "One Drop" drums, guitars, melodica and a brass instruments section, he compose a riddim full of vibes in a pure jamaican style.

In the remix Mooncat & Dubtime, old and new school, join forces to swap that "One Drop" for a Drum'n'Bass sharp drums, the organic bass for a heavy and crispy bassline, and a excelent work in the arrangement for finally turn it in a powerful and tough tune, ready to kill any dancefloor.

¿Quien empieza la revolución? Esta es la pregunta que lanzamos en  nuestra quinta referencia, en la cual contamos con la colaboración de Sun I Tafari, cantante de raíces jamaicanas afincado en Cardiff encargado de poner las vocales para este lanzamiento.

En estos tiempos que corren, donde refugiados, corrupción, terrorismo, discriminaciones, guerras y un sin fin de calamidades nos acechan cada día, South Yard nos sumamos a la protesta, posicionándonos y manifestçandonos de la mejor forma que sabemos hacer, con música.

En esta ocasión traemos un tema original en clave de reggae "one drop" producido por Karlixx, con Sun I Tafari en las vocales, y su correspondiente remix de mano de Mooncat y Dubtime.

En el original mix y como ya nos viene acostumbrando, Karlixx demuestra que tan bien se mueve en el Reggae como en el Jungle. Un riddim donde guitarras, melódica y vientos metales consiguen transmitir buenas vibraciones al mas puro estilo Jamaicano.

En el remix Mooncat y Dubtime, vieja y nueva escuela, se unen para sustituir el "One Drop" por un ritmo Drum'n'Bass de afiladas percusiones, con un dialogo de bajos contundentes y una estructura dinámica para conseguir como resultado un contundente tema listo para destrozar la pista de baile.
