Melvin Pender Jr. (born October 31, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American former athlete, an Olympic gold medalist in the 4x100 m relay at the 1968 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the Philadelphia Pioneer Track Club where he was coached by Alex Woodley.[1]

Pender enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 17 and later went through Officer Candidate School (OCS); he was a decorated Vietnam War combat veteran and served for 21 years, retiring at the rank of captain in 1976.[citation needed] Early in his military service, Pender took up athletics, where his incredible quickness was noticed in camp football games. His progress was remarkable and he was selected to the 1964 Olympic Team, but was hampered by injury and finished seventh in the 100 meters at Tokyo.

Nearing age 31 at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, Pender again made it to the 100 m final, where his explosive start and exceptional acceleration brought him to the lead midway through the race, but he faded slightly and finished sixth. In the relay, he was chosen to run the second leg and he performed that duty exceptionally, and the American team won the gold medal in a new world record of 38.24 seconds.

Pender set world records in the 50 yds at 5.0, 60 yds at 5.8, 70 yds at 6.8 and 100 meters at 9.9 seconds, and he is in several halls of fame. What people don't know is he didn't run track until the age of twenty five, while he was serving in Okinawa with the 82nd Airborne Division.

After the 1968 Olympics, Pender earned a Bronze Star in Vietnam and worked as the head track coach at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He later earned a bachelor's degree from Adelphi University.

Jasson is the son of a bull rider and cancan girl who were married on an ice castle in the Yukon territories. Growing up Jasson excelled as a hockey player and drummer, playing in multiple touring bands. After graduating from the school of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, Jasson started a personal training business where, soon after, he fell into film and TV through one of his clients, who was an agent.

For many years Jasson explored the industry on a part time basis while running his personal training business. In 2012 he decided to make a go of it and headed to NYC. Since arriving in New York, Jasson Finney has appeared in several acclaimed television series, such as "Gotham," (2014) "Zero Hour," (2013) and recently filmed "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and "Daredevil" both slated to air in 2015. He also appeared in the independent films "My Brother's Keeper,(2015) and "Happy Baby" (2014).

Previously Jasson has appeared in many feature films such as "Source Code,"(2011) with Vera Farminga "Gothika," (2003) starring Halle Berry and Penelope Cruz as well as "Timeline." (2003) with Paul Walker. He also did TV shows such as "Being Human"(2012) and "Blue Mountain State" (2010). Jasson is perhaps best known for his role as "Sonny" in the made for TV movie "Nicky Deuce" (2013) working opposite James Gandolfini, Steven Schrippa, Michael Imperioli and Tony Sirico.

In 2013 Jasson has also appeared on stage in the off Broadway show "Gym Shorts". Most recently he is involved in a number of independent start up projects and is also writing and producing his own short films and pilots such as "What's Cooking Grandma" where Jasson seeks out the best cooking grandmas in America and "Take Back Your Life" helping people regain their fitness and ultimately, their life.

Today on The Total Media Network's Dr. Christopher Hall Show, Dr. Hall and The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview NFL Hall of Fame Legendary Denver Bronco Terrell Davis.

Terrell Davis was selected in the sixth round, 196th player overall, of the 1995 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. The little-known back made a big splash when earned a starting role at tailback as a rookie. He strung together four spectacular seasons before a devastating knee injury, that limited him to just 17 games over his final three seasons, prematurely ended his pro career.

Davis, despite missing the final two games of his rookie campaign with a hamstring tear, eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark and also added a career-high 49 receptions for 367 yards in 1995. Davis improved his rushing total in each of the next three seasons. In his second year, he was named the Offensive Player of the Year when he ran for 1,538 yards and 13 TDs. Davis rushed for 1,750 yards and a league-high 15 TDs in 1997; and in 1998 became just the fourth runner in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season. He gained 2,008 yards and again led the NFL with 21 rushing touchdowns to spark the Broncos to a 14-2 regular season record en route to Denver’s second straight Super Bowl title.

Davis shined in the Broncos biggest games as evidenced by him stringing together a NFL playoff record seven straight 100-yard performances spanning the 1997 and ’98 postseasons capped by Denver winning back-to-back Super Bowls. He opened the 1997 playoffs with a 184-yard effort against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Wild Card Game followed by 101 yards versus the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional playoff and 139 yards rushing yards in the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game. He then earned MVP honors in Super Bowl XXXII after rushing for 157 yards and three TDs in the Broncos’ 31-24 victory over the Green Bay Packers. Davis also scored an incredible 8 rushing touchdowns in that ’97 playoff run.

In the 1998 playoffs, Davis rushed for a franchise postseason-record 199 yards against the Miami Dolphins in the divisional playoff, 167 yards versus the New York Jets in the championship and capped the season with 102 yards in the Broncos’ Super Bowl XXXIII victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

A three-time All-Pro selection, Davis rushed for 7,607 yards and 60 TDs in just 78 career games. He added an additional 1,280 yards on 169 career catches and four TD receptions. Davis was elected to three Pro Bowls and named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 1990s.
