Let Me Go  is a fast-paced, frenetic song with a pulsating bass line, crisp, powerful drumming, and searing dual lead guitars, punctuated with Jackson Pelz's urgent lead vocal.  Reminiscent of Green Day, The Cars, and even Foo Fighters, this track rocks.

"Ballroom," written by Ronnie Monroe and Tristan Auman, with lyrics and vocals by Ronnie Monroe, is a heavy, yet melodious rocker with a great instrumental section and innovative lead guitar work.  Ending with a tremendous jam, "Ballroom" closes out Theater of the Mind's EP with a bang.

"My Own Worst Enemy,"  written by Tristan Auman and Ronnie Monroe, with lyrics by Tristan Auman, is sung by Jackson Pelz.  MOWE is a stunning sonic masterpiece, with heavy, crunchy guitars, thunderous drums, and an epic crescendo that culminates in a delicious, head-banging coda.  It brings to mind the grandeur of Metallica's "One" in it's impact and execution, while standing on it's own as a new rock standard.

"Mirage" was written by Ronnie Monroe and Tristan Auman,  is a mystical musical journey with a distinct Dick Dale Surf-guitar riff at 2:01 that has  an Arabian flair.  Sounds odd, but it works!  Strong on melody and heavy on killer dual lead guitars, "Mirage" is an instrumental tour de force.

"City of Ash," written by Tristan Auman, Jackson Pelz, and Jacob Whiteside, with lyrics and vocals by Jackson Pelz.  "City of Ash" is a blistering, no-compromise rocker.  With apocalyptic lyrics, bombastic percussion, and twin lead guitars that duel to the death (metaphorically speaking-no guitarists were harmed in the recording of this record...), "City of Ash" has been called "Green Day morphs into Iron Maiden," but it's so much more than that apt description.  A live concert fan favorite, COA is a knock-out punch that'll blow you away.  Aural dynamite...

"My Time" is written by Tristan Auman, Jackson Pelz, and Ronnie Monroe, with lyrics and lead vocals by Jackson Pelz.  "My Time" features a chest-caving bass line, slow and powerful, until  2:27 when the band hits high gear and the beast is released, so to speak.  High-velocity  guitars build to a stunning climax, with  an intense, evocative solo.  Nuanced and powerful.

Theater of the Mind is comprised of Tristan Auman (15) guitars and keyboards, Ronnie Monroe (16) guitars and vocals, Jackson Pelz (15) vocals and bass, and Jacob Whiteside (18) drums.  They met at Jim Beavers School of Music in the Rock Band program, and discovered common musical influences and creative goals.  From their first impromptu jam, they recognized an effortless chemistry and collaborative synchronicity.  Friends first, band members second, Theater of the Mind soon was writing and recording new music, and their first self-titled EP was released on November 11, 2015 to local critical acclaim.
