John é um DJ, produtor e cantor-compositor de São Paulo, que agora mora em Los Angeles. Reunindo seu amor por atmosferas ambient, synthpop dos anos 80 e música coral em um contexto house/techno, conseguindo cativar públicos em clubes de renome mundial, como D-Edge e Warung.

John Hood é o tipo de artista que prende a atenção do seu público através de sua seleção de faixas, encapsulando uma ampla variedade de gêneros. Seu objetivo, por meio de suas apresentações musicalmente diversas, é exemplificar o ethos de sua personalidade artística: uma textura de sons e estilos constantemente em mutação que unem e comunicam sua identidade artística imutável.

Palavras do John Hood: “Meu objetivo por trás desse set foi fazer algo que pudesse ser escutado tanto num contexto mais artisticamente removido, como no trabalho, no carro, enquanto você cozinha, no esquenta, se arruma, etc…, mas ao mesmo tempo algo que oferecesse uma experiência mais introspectiva e profunda para aqueles que desejassem. 

Um objetivo como esse pode até parecer paradoxo mas esse mix oferece algo para todos. Tanto se você só procura uma seleção de faixas com estilos diversos ou se fosse procura mergulhar numa experiência sonora rica para curtir de olhos fechados.

John Hood is a DJ/Producer and singer-songwriter from São Paulo, Brazil based in Los Angeles. His love for lush ambient atmospheres, 80s synthpop, and choral music all put together in a house/techno contexts have granted him the ability to captivate audiences in world renowned institutions such as D-Edge and Warung. 

He is the kind of artist that aims to take audiences by surprise, through track selections across a wide variety of genres hoping to exemplify the ethos of his artistic personality: An ever-mutating texture of sounds and styles, that coalesce and communicate his unchanging artistic essence.

His Words: “My goal behind this mix was to make something that was a one-size-fits-all in the most unique way possible. Such a task sounds like a paradox, but allowed for the exact result I wanted in this mix. 

Because of its ambient beginning and the energy crescendo trajectory that it entails, this careful selection of tracks makes it a perfect listen while you work, drive, pre-game, cook, glam, and do just about anything. On the other hand, for listeners that want a more intent-filled experience, the mix offers an atmosphere for introspection and close-eyed dancing that is a signature trademark of my sets.

Born in São Paulo, Ayrton Siqueira created his artistic project 'Totsik' in 2015 in order to express in an alter-ego all of his musical background, which was left out until then.
