For the 10th episode of the Quirks mix series, we give you the parisian legend, D'Julz. 

Through a career spanning two and half decades, D’Julz has practically done it all. He began spinning in Paris, often playing his home city’s much-talked about early 90’s raves and legendary clubs, all before moving to New–York in 1993 to further hone his skills and cement his reputation as a true taste-maker in his field. The rest, as they say, is history.

D’Julz remains as enthusiastic as he was when he first started DJing, as his Bass Culture label goes from strength to strength, clocking over 50 releases and he continues to traverse the globe rocking dance floors every weekend.
A true legend and one who will continue to be at the top of his game…

Our new episode of the Blankhaus Podcast Series delivered by @andusimion

Regardless, Andu Simion is not at all a newcomer in the minimal stage. Mostly known for its activity within the different projects, Andu has contributed with singles for various EPs of incremental minimal labels and has developed multiple collaborative projects during his career. However, every time he surprises with a playful selection of compositions that is supposed to mimic a trip through the night, body, space and time. 

As one third of the Lisière Collectif, Andu Simion learned early and often how to take a dancefloor on a hypnotic, grooving journey throughout the night. Andu comes from the outskirts of Ploiești, Romania and you can hear the industrial side of the city in his sound. It’s safe to say that, while clearly being inspired by the Romanian minimal movement, he has crafted his own particular style: a deep, if maybe just a little acid-infused journey that has landed him a very nice releases on Atipic and Atipic Lab, Priku’s labels.

He’s also half of A Dublu or Anduli projects and a well-established member of the rominimal scene with numerous releases on nice labels such as Palinoia, Polen, Particular, Cueva Records, Diffuse Reality, Insound Recordings or Cakeman.

A captivating artist with a minimalistic style rooted in groove and space, Claire has carved out a niche for herself in the underground. Nomadic at heart, she lives in Montréal, but regularly ventures off to Europe and Latin America. Music has been a part of her forever: she grew up to the sounds of her mother’s violin performances and studied a variety of instruments: violin (of course!), voice, bass guitar and a little jazz piano. A bit of a gear junkie, Kenway has a small but mighty arsenal of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, and drum machines. Something just flows when those machines come alive and as such, she has several EPs on vinyl and has released on labels Conceptual, Monoclap, Archipel and more. For 2023, she has some releases on PPRZ and Ice Wax, and is also launching her own label, Planète Secrète. From Piknic Electronik to the
Techno Parade, and MUTEK to Club Der Visionaere, Claire’s music will move you.
