Sin Hilo finds, once again, a hidden treasure in the underworlds of the IDM, Vanadium reemerges from his cave and launches a project that will sound a lot in the coming years.

Vanadium leaves its mark in his, now new home, with a mini LP with 5 tracks and two remixes of electronic music without regards. 

Vanadium shows his rawest side against his most melodic on each track, it is, undoubtedly, a great discovery on our part that will be well received in the electronic world.

"UNAWD" opens the album, a melodic song with a jumping rhythm that completely introduces us into their world. Then "AWST" sits us down with its strong and dry hits, immersing us into the driest and most serious IDM of Sin Hilo, "CRWBAN" opens the doors to the Sun and the shine of the exquisite IDM that shows us throughout the album.

"HEDFAN" is definitely the most serious track on the album, a profoundly dark and glitchy for the lovers of deep and sensitive electronic music, "PRAWF" closes the album with a fun, hectic and completely broken track which makes a complete mini album of pure and deep emotions of what will, without a doubt, be a lasting project.

To finish rounding off the album, it includes two deluxe remixes, Inkipak lands in Sin Hilo to give shape to "UNAWD" giving it his own feeling and affection. And of course, we couldn't miss the opportunity to include one of our best artists from Sin Hilo.... Komatsu does his magic with "AWST" remix completely destroying the rhythms and letting us fly by his unique IDM. 

The project starts in Madrid but we have no doubt that it will be traveling all over Europe in no time... Vanadium has no limits!

Noods Radio | The Slug Farm w/ Shmael | 14.07.23

Electronic music composer Dr. Chelsea Bruno has been composing and releasing electronic music since 2008 under the artist alias Eden Grey. Her father’s work as a piano technician and rebuilder inspired her to compose at an early age and pursue a career in music.
Seven years of lessons in classical piano had a major outcome on her aesthetic. First composing songs on the piano in her teenage years, she began using a USB/MIDI keyboard at age 18 to begin  recording and producing arrangements in Ableton Live. She pursued an undergraduate degree at the University of Miami in visual art, sculpture, performance art, poetry, and literature, and first began to participate in electronic music seminar classes. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in Studio Art.
Chelsea started her masters’ degree in Music Technology at Florida International University in January of 2011, which opened her world to the history of electronic music composers and led to her first patching experiments, creating algorithmic compositions using Max/MSP. During this period she began collaborating with artists and musicians in multidisciplinary art shows at galleries around Miami. Her Masters’ thesis is titled “Vocal Synthesis and Deep Listening.”
She was a recipient of the Presidents’ Innovation Award to attend the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) convention in Anaheim, California in January of 2013, where she first discovered the Eurorack format of modular synthesis. She began working on her own custom Eurorack later that year during her graduate internship with 4MS Company in Portland, Oregon, where she learned to build and play Eurorack synthesizers.
She began her practice-based PhD in Music Composition at Royal Holloway, University of London in September 2014 and was focusing on collaborative and interdisciplinary sound art performance and fixed media projects. While conducting her independent research on modular synthesizers, she performed in London, Cardiff, and throughout Europe, including two MusicTechFest events in Slovenia and Sweden. She also performed live in Paris, SuperBooth 2017 and 2018 in Berlin, and Hamburg in 2019 for the ePhil Electronic Music Series. 
Dr. Bruno demonstrated how to use her custom built modular synthesizer at Synthfest UK in Sheffield in 2016 and 2018. She also established the CV FREQS modular meet / concert event series in London which ran from 2016-2019. In this time, she organized 12 events at different venues in London including the Waterloo House of Vans Skate Park and the Iklectik Art Lab venue in Lower Marsh, central London. She was formally awarded her doctoral degree in June of 2020 with her dissertation titled: “A Portfolio of Compositions Exploring Modular Synthesis in Electronic Music.” 
She is currently teaching music production and regularly releasing electronic music.

AI Series Mix #013 - EDWARD JOHANNES

We are thrilled to announce a live set by Gab Gato recorded at Leoncavallo (Milan), 22 September 2023.

Gab Gato is a well known figure in Italy's underground scene since the 90's. Producer, illustrator and DJ he has performed in various clubs and festivals around Europe and is the founder of The Villains Inc., an indipendent label. He is a fan of Detroit's funk sound and his catalogue ranges from hip hop to techno, although he is mainly known for a dark and cold electro sound which is clearly inspired by the 80's and 90's music era. He has performed along side some of the greatest names in techno and electro worldwide: Juan Atkins, Alan Oldham, Dj Assault, Detroit in Effect, Anthony Rother and Dopplereffekt. He has releases partnered with Keith Tucker (AUX88), Dj Stingray, Bass Junkie and Max Durante.

Which artists has influenced you the most?

- The list would be too long so Ill stick to Electro/Techno artists:
Mad mike not only for his music but the overall social involvement. Cybotron, Aux88, Drexciya and their side projects, Robert Hood ... just the first few that come to my mind.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- A couple of Villains release are on the way in 2024,but I’d rather not anticipate anything. Im also closing some collaboration tracks and a couple of Ep for other labels. And after a long break Im also back to djing. Im also working on a new live set.

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?

- It's difficult to name a specific artist/label but there is a lot of good music out there. I have appreciated a lot of recent release both Electro and Techno and I still feel a good connection with the Detroit Sound. Id like to mention 'Nativist' by Ultradyne for the good music and the even better concept behind it.

What inspires you now to create music?

- The world around me is always a good source of inspiration.

What set-up do you use when creating music?

- Vintage Drum machines and synths, my beloved MPCs, a few digital synths as a Microkorg and computer where needed.
