FORTHCOMING ALBUM 'SILENCE'  - Out 9th June

Teasing fans with the first taste of new music, indie-rock trio Auction For The Promise Club have revealed the brand new track ‘Moonlight’ taken from their forthcoming debut album 'Silence', due June 9th.

Opening with the hauntingly seductive voice of Zoe White Chambers, ‘Moonlight’ explodes into a frenetic rock anthem, showcasing the emotional and rugged dynamics that Auction For The Promise Club channel through their music.

Hailing from the picturesque village of St.Agnes, Cornwall, the band remained on home turf to record their upcoming debut 'Silence' alongside fellow Southwest local Paul Reeve (Muse, Beta Band, Supergrass) at the remote and atmospheric Airfield studios. Situated on the North Cornish coast it sits in an Second World War base.

Silence features a collection of 12 diverse and powerful tracks including 'This May Hurt' which was dubbed by BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson as “their best yet” and 'Cut So Close', both of which were released as a special limited edition 7" AA red vinyl on Record Store Day last year.

Being championed by BBC Cornwall Introducing the band has had national radio play on the Radio 1 Huw Stephens' show and BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson as well as support from Rolling Stone, Classic Rock, MTV Hive, XFM and NME Radio.

It saw the band share stages with the likes of Paolo Nutini, Martha Wainwright, Prides and Reverend and The Makers and appear at a number of festivals including Bestival, Boardmasters, The Great Escape, Y Not Festival, Radio 1's Big Weekend Showcase and the BBC introducing stage at Looe Festival. The trio also had a once in a lifetime opportunity to headline the Emerging Icons Stage in the Olympic Park for the opening day of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Hello, I’m from Cardiff in the UK but now I’m based in Madrid, Spain. I lived a few years in London where I spent most weekends singing cover versions as vocalist in a band made up of like minded friends. Well, when I say like minded, I was referring to our shared love of cold lager as musically we were like chalk and cheese. You know, sort of like Oasis meets Des O’Connor but we had a good laugh. Not too sure about the audience though. Shaving my head became a life transforming experience as as well as saving no end of money on shampoo and avoiding endless hours thinking about which colour comb I should buy I also had extra time when I would have normally been at the barbers which I put to good use producing tunes. Consequently whenever I finish a tune I rub some of that green gunk into my scalp that they used to always plaster on blokes heads when I were a nipper as a sort of homage to musical alopecia.  Met a Spanish girl who whisked me off to Spain and here I am doing my best to juggle married life with two kids with Cubase and Sony Vegas. Like dance tempos and generally electronic music but am a sucker for a good song in any genre with a lyric I can relate to even if I’ve got the wrong end of the stick. I sort of feel I own the song a bit then don’t you?  Anyway, working on some new tunes I’d like to share with you soon. Oh didn’t I tell you?  Tom Robinson on his BBC Radio 6 Introducing show very kindly played “Undercover of Love” and ” We Stood Up.” Even did a rather good radio edit for me. Thanks Tom. Any feedback or friend requests welcome. In fact the more the merrier.
