Created in the isolation of the British countryside, Desert Sound Colony is inspired by faintly remembered sounds and almost forgotten memories. The thread running through the melodic, visceral tracks touch on a sense of melancholy present within us all.
Occupying a space somewhere between ‘60s Psychedelia and the pulsating sounds of future-clubs, Desert Sound Colony is both infectious and ethereal, shrouding the listener in a gentle, rhythmical canopy.

Solid Steel in association with Serato (2nd October) Mainstay of the Swedish electronic scene HNNY has released prolifically across Sweedish labels Local Talk, the Alex Boman affiliated Studio Barnhus, and his own Puss (run with Kornél Kovács). Also known for his popular ‘Music For Listening’ mix series he turns in a Solid Steel mix that follows in the same vein, a laid-back selection with music from Sufjan Stevens, Matthew Halsall, Four Tet, Linda Perhacs and Aphex Twin.
