The Thief

The release of the ‘Amber EP’ is the long awaited return of Leeds 4-piece Tall Kingdom.  After taking a brief hiatus to record, mix and explore new sounds this EP showcases a band with a clear direction of sound and timbre.  Combining their love of classic 70’s recordings and live instrumentation, the band weave together textures of hip-hop, psychedelia and classic soul. 

Opening track ‘The Thief’ see’s the band reach for a vintage 70’s soul aesthetic whilst re-enforcing the contemporary feel with modern hip-hop drums and 808 subs. The head nodding unison chorus is supported by guitars and brass culminating in a catchy yet bang up to date, smile inducing feel.
