How I Rock

Have you been ever different? Or Have ever you thought about those who are different from you? Have ever thought how does it feel to have a different skin colour than any one else? Or did you ponder what does it mean to be black, being called black, or call oneself black? 
My podcast series ‘being different’ follows what does it mean to be different and how people live with their differences. I speak with scholars, researchers, academics, students from minority backgrounds to learn from them what does it mean to be different. 


Ep 1, we meet Rosa Luna, a Dutch-Suriname student of Amsterdam University College. She shares her perspectives on  racial consciousness, the question of blackness in the Netherlands and influence of the BLM movement in the Dutch society.

It sounds to me like the soundtrack of an imaginary movie inspired by my new lifestyle rather than a song or a track...

The original idea was born on a plane to London back in January. I then finalized this track in my sun-filled home studio in Lisbon, fueled with various inspirations and some experimentations like "humming into my vocoder" ;-)

I've been trying to learn how to produce different types of songs, and this past month has been focused on color bass (or melodic bass?)

Either way, a lot of fun to make, and always a joy to learn new techniques and tools! And while I still need a lot more experience mixing, I think I'm getting a bit better at it...
