A personal rework of one of my favorite classics ever, New Order's Blue Monday. 
I had mixed feelings the first time I heard it in some club. These dribbling bass drums were kind of weird to me. I couldn't really understand why people were mad when they recognized the track. Then, when I left, I realized the only melodies that were still around in my head were those of this pure classic. I started to listen to it and couldn't help but put it on hard rotation at home and in my studio. I became obsessed with it and even wanted to own the same hardware that was used to produce it (a few days later, I bought an Oberheim DX from some guy who claimed he signed with Virgin Records on the same day as Daft Punk). 
The original multitracks sessions are publicly available so I had to do something...so here we are. I wanted to give the track a more modern & Italo direction, while trying to respect the original vibe. 
Hope you'll enjoy it & spin it in front of passionate crowds. 
The artwork is a tribute to John Carpenter's Christine (1983), which was released a few months later.

Let's go on a trip through the Bizzarro Universe.

The Hamburg-based producer couple Bizzarro Universe is back on Verflixt Music for their third release. "Speed of Light" is a perfect rollin’ space track. The Bizzarros prove their sense for the dancefloor with a track for the peak time. Keeping the Italo vibes, they delight an uncompromising piece. The female robotic voice in the breaks lets no clue, that you're on a flight through space & time, and the drop comes in like your spaceship hits Speed of Light: Powerful and with a Big Bang.
  
Remix action comes from Louis de Tomaso (Ritmo Fatale) and David Body (Melopee Records, Exploited). Louis gives us a more trancy vision, with slightly 90s influences and those synth melodies he likes. David delivers a more Italo House version with a softer piano synth, perfect for the late summer!

It’s been months since I’ve last released an edit which, as you know, is one of my favorite studio delights.

Lovelock is the moniker of Steve Moore, a major musician and producer in the synth/movie scene. His Burning Feeling album from 2012 is a new-wave and italo masterpiece which contains many gems, among which Love Reaction. This tune caught my attention because of this intoxicating chorus. 💫

This edit embodies pure high-energy vibes to be enjoyed without restraint!

Do we really have to explain the most effective meme of this year 2020 ?
Inspired by a mortuary dance born in Ghana, a magical country in which you can pay for the coolest burial in the world, with dancers wearing coffins with the freshest style, the "Coffin Dance Meme" celebrates all the epic fails who sign the death (or the end) of their sad heroes.
