A Pillow to a Pillar

1. Transformation comes along

But we need to be sanctified, be purified

All our idols must be torn down, set aside

In the church life we should leave the world behind.
 
2. Natural choices He allows
Because of human needs but not in our way and time,
But for His purpose and His own plan.
Yet experience would require
One day you need to choose between "the mother and child",
gain or loss, death or birth?
The loss of heart's desire,
Though you paid such a great price
With her, treasured up your life
Through the years of joy and pride,
Prized the son brought forth by her,
It's a choice that breaks your heart.
But in losing you have gained what He desires;
In the church life, we should lose our natural life.

3. Oh Lord, open up our eyes
to see Your sovereign hand behind our circumstances,
A divine view to look at losses;
From being natural we would cease,
Our situations we would change
From sorrow to praise, to the Christ who is
Exalted to the right hand
of His majesty on high
Who are worthy to be praised
Our victorious, glorious Christ.
Lord, we set our eyes on You,
Gain our hearts,
Grow in us, more of life to us impart.
In Your image we're conformed and with You, Lord,
we would reign in life.

Transformation Comes Along

I. Our God has chosen ere the world began.
Among the countless ones, He saw us there.
Nothing out of works, nor striving's enough -
All by His mercy and everlasting love.

O what mercy and grace 
to be divinely held by the heart of the Father,
Seeing what He’s done in us -
The pattern of His choice beyond compare.
In His wisdom and plan, secured by loving hand (Hallelujah!),
I know I'm chosen, marked out for His plan.

From supplanting hand to a blessing hand,
