Everything begins with heat.
It awakens, expands, animates. It’s the pulse behind growth, motion, change. But left unchecked, it distorts, consumes, dissolves structure into haze.
This mix sits in that tension—between warmth and overload.
Grooves stretch like metal under pressure, rhythms sway with the slow logic of rising temperatures.
The low end radiates. High frequencies shimmer, unstable at the edges. Sounds feel soft but volatile, like air before a storm or light on asphalt.
Alive, unstable, and always on the verge of combustion.

After turning heads with his debut LP Club Dream released on NYC’s Dance Data earlier this year, Konalgad now pivots into rawer, more psychedelic territory with Gazelle; a self-released six-track EP that dives deep into high-BPM trance states and hypnotic rave energy.

Rooted in tempos between 150–170 BPM, Gazelle blends four-to-the-floor propulsion with breakbeat chaos, centered around the hypnotic original track “Gazelle”. Its alternate versions, the “Tube” and “Liquid” mixes, bend that energy into darker, faster, and more fractured forms, evoking subterranean missions and dreamlike fugue states.

Composed between 2023-2025, Konalgad created Gazelle as a homage to his formative years immersed in trance, crafting a sound that’s both nostalgic and forward-facing, all while maintaining a clear-eyed vision for the dancefloor. With a sonic signature that hones in on rhythmic tension and emotional rave release, this EP is a bold, high-velocity statement from an artist deep in his own lane."

Lucyd is a Bulgarian-born, Poland-based DJ, producer, and co-owner of the Calosc label. Her sound moves between groovy and hardgroovy techno, driven by a background in sound design and years of experience as an audio engineer.
Her productions have gained recognition on platforms such as HATE, Techno Germany, Grab The Groove, Duplicity, MOTZ, Lost in Ether, POLISH TECHNOLOGY and more. This support has helped her music reach audiences across Europe’s underground. Beyond the studio, Lucyd has brought her sets to Berlin’s about blank, Kit Kat, OXI, Renate, Anomalie as well as Amsterdam Dance Event, and clubs and festivals throughout Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Denmark and more. Her journey has connected her with a wide range of artists, sharing stages with names such as Yanamaste, Alarico, Chlaer, Ellie Acula, Ki/Ki, FJAAK, Amotik, Somewhen, Ryan Elliott, Fiedel, and Peter Van Hoesen.

This sixteenth release in the core Knowledge Imprint catalogue marks an important milestone (a good 7+ years after its inception) as it welcomes the first solo EP by a South African producer other than the label owner himself. Justyn Nell - @justynnell - has already been making waves in his own right with releases on prominent labels and performances at well-respected venues across the globe. So, it is with great delight that he joins the label roster for a strong 4-tracker like only he can do.

The A-side is occupied by ‘Erebus’ and ‘Obsidian’, both of which have the distinct character of Justyn’s more tool-oriented techno production style. With sharp synths, hypnotic loops, precision percussions and classic call-response tension, these are tracks that are made for peak dance floor moments - no frills, no fuss. On the other hand, the B-side’s ‘Perceived Depth’ and ‘Solstice’ show a different side to Justyn’s usual stylistic tropes. Make no mistake, you’ll still get a full dose of techno, but this time with more hypnotic and emotive qualities that reveal a welcomed development in the artist’s sonic palette.
