C’est le retour de ÖND sur C Lab pour une nouvelle saison, toujours sans limites de styles, et cette année on va essayer de faire la part belle à la scène rennaise en plein renouveau post-covid, ça bouge de partout, il y a plein de collectifs et d’artistes nouveaux dont on n’a jamais eu l’occasion de parler et on compte bien se rattraper.

On attaque par un mix de DOMICIL, le projet d’un artiste complet et complexe : Rémi Daumesnil. Rémi est d’abord plasticien, il est passé par Rennes 2 puis par les Beaux Arts, et s’adonne à diverses pratiques comme le graphisme, la sculpture, l’installation et l’impression.

Passionné de musiques en tous genres, c’est au sein du label et collectif de musique Rennais, "Harpies Records", que cet explorateur sonore officie, sous le nom « DOMICIL » donc, en tant que dj et producteur. Ce label émergent regroupe une douzaine d’artistes et organisateurs, dj’s, plasticiens, graffeurs et performeurs. L’identité Harpies Records, c’est un certain goût pour l’hybridité et l’avant-garde. Le label explore les zones de marge et les sous-genres, de la club music breakée à l’ambient expérimentale, de la pop fruitée à la cold-wave bien sale. Les Harpies se soudent autour d’une esthétique DIY et un imaginaire commun. Je vous renvoie aux réseaux sociaux pour aller jeter un oeil à leurs visuels radicalement différents de ce que proposent habituellement les collectifs techno.

Avec une personnalité et un environnement pareils, vous vous doutez que les mixes de DOMICIL jouent sur la variété de styles, des mélange vacillant entre downtempo, trance, storytelling et autres hybridités comme le dub, la drum N bass, la dubstep et l’ambiante. On peut retrouver son travail sur des labels ou radios, notamment le collectif ABRI, Maison Grabuge, Krakzh le label de Théo Muller, Viziradio, Tikka radio ou LYL radio où il s’occupe maintenant du Roazhon Park Show, le podcast de Harpies Records.

Comme tout ça ne suffit apparemment pas à l’occuper, Rémi a aussi monté “Croisade” avec Axel Moreau, encore un hybride improbable, Croisade est à la fois un groupe mélangeant musiques traditionnelles, expérimentales, OST de jeux vidéo et autres plaisirs auditifs, et un fanzine auto-publié qui favorise la diffusion de travaux de jeunes artistes, de créateurs et de passionnés de différents horizons, de différentes écoles et de différents milieux.

Le collectif Bienvenue au club présente ses coups de cœur, inspirations et copaines, les musiques qui touchent ses membres et les scènes qui les relient, de la danse à la contemplation. Pour la sixième édition de cette résidence, on est heureux d'accueillir Vod Kasat, productrice turque basée en France, qui vient de sortir son premier album solo sur le label londonien All Centre. Elle nous livre un voyage surprenant à la ligne percussive entêtante, tantôt mélodique tantôt saupoudré d’une touche expé.

People and their surroundings are composed of small particles with different densities and an infinite number of connections between them. They have a variety of properties, and one can observe them modifying from time to time. In the hands of laboratory professionals, substances combine with one another, reshaping and receiving a new formula. Andrey Kostyukov, one of the greatest masters of transformation and transfiguration, is our guest today.


Andriy Kostyukov is a Kyiv-born and Prague-based electronic musician and dj.
First of all, his attention is devoted to creating music. Andriy skillfully combines Experimental Bass and IDM. His exclusive works could be heard at Paris Fashion Week 2019 and at many leading events in Ukraine. Some of the key ones were the “Brudnyy Pes” and “Na Chasi” festivals in Kyiv, “ODS” in Odesa and “Voyage Culturel” in Kharkiv. Speaking of dj sets, Andriy has established a strong musical position between trippy techno and upbeat glitch Bass stuff. His selection was appreciated in the club ∄ (Kyiv), Re:mise (Berlin), Fitzroy (Berlin), Ankali (Prague), Vitamin (Brno), Kultura Zvuku (Kharkiv), Otel' (Kyiv).
He is a co-organizer of the Motsion — one of the first musical events that began charitable activities in Kyiv after the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine.

A self-described native in the netherrealm of “broken beats and emo pads”, Swiss fellow Fels delivers the fourth entry into our Crux singles series, here with two excursions into more minimalist, but equally detailed bassweight tension.
A garbled cluster of voices, jostling hi-hats and finally, a booming bass drum unfurl on the eponymous Odd Arches, a razor-sharp half-step work-out with a mean streak. Continuously ramping up, yet never resorting to cheap theatrics, the focus remains on its forward-creeping atmosphere and low-frequency pressure.
The flipside, Bending, ups the ante with twitching percussion, a salvo of breakbeats and laser lashes on top. The frenzy is grounded by a similar attention to drum dynamics and subterranean heaviness, but as it spins out the track knows when to take the bass off its hinges.
