Here, Zeno finally learns the truth about the world he's been thrown into. The true identity of the "King" who arranged for his protection. And the reason he and all of these characters were put here to begin with.

It's a very random and surreal milestone, but it has been 1,000 days since Zeno passed away. Something about the gravity of that number moved me, and I begged that something be done for it. If nothing else, just to show that I kept track. That no matter what was asked of me, I refused to forget. I'd like to think I'm better off now than I was in 2020, when this all started. But am I? I guess I really don't know. What I can say for sure is that literally every one of those thousand days featured a thought of him at least once. The thought of ever letting it go scares me. But I guess we'll just see what happens. I miss you, buddy. I miss you a whole lot.

Ax made a secret boss and I decided to try making them a boss theme, the only issue is that right now it's not sounding how I wanted it to sound, and the more I try changing it the more garbled it sounds. If anyone wants to remix or remake this track entirely I've added the FLP file above as well as the bug noises I used! :]

For my next number...*checks notes* oh. Oh no.

This was originally going to be my first released cover ever, and it WAS made first...but then I decided I wanted to start this event on Christmas rather than ending it there, and this no longer felt like the strong opener it did before. So now it ends up like this. This is probably okay.

Anyway, this track was made by the incomparable Myttin., who has been someone I've greatly admired ever since he left that one-word comment on the third track I ever released. It might be a little parasocial at this point, to be honest, but I think of him as a friend. I hope he's doing okay in the void or wherever he is now. (I heard he aced the audition for a minor role in the new Aftergore 404? So he's got that going for him.)

I've honestly been thinking about covering this track for a long time. It's just such an emotional track and scene that doesn't really compare to anything in...any other AU's murder route. In fact, the original version of this thumbnail (albeit one without the backdrop in such disrepair) was made nearly a year and a half ago. I emailed it to Myttin and he emailed back that it was cool, which was another highlight of our long and storied history. You know, I probably could've stood to email him before giving him that small role in Argenomess. (Myttin, if you're reading this, you're Jerry there. I figured it fit, and you would probably be okay with the role because you found him interesting enough to keep in your AU.)

Context for the thumbnail, by the way: My interpretation of the Surface replacing Snowdin in Smorgasbord explains it as an artificial recreation, complete with taped-up background elements and a giant lightbulb sun. It's a lot more convincing when the people who maintain the illusion aren't busy fleeing in terror from a murderous protagonist.

Oh yeah, and I thought the repeated arpeggio sounded like part of Oh! One True Love, which I thought was appropriate. So I changed it a bit at a later part, and now it's intentional.

Constructive criticism is always appreciated on all aspects except upload schedule and/or track choice.

Actually I guess it's vaguely related, I am trans.

I stumbled upon everyone's new favourite Lostwave song a few weeks ago and then stumbled upon this kickass cover by Matthew Sykes, and after listening to it on loop for a little while I decided "fuck it, let's make a cover of this!"

Making the instrumental was a lot of fun, and singing the vocals was... interesting, to say the least. My singing is probably not the greatest, but I think for what my vocal range allowed for (and the manual tuning I could do) I did a pretty good job.
