In d'n Optoch: een muzikaal tegenoffensief

De afgelopen jaren hebben de boomers van Limburg een ongekende coalitie gevormd. Met vastberadenheid en een diepgewortelde afkeer voor vernieuwing, hebben zij een systematische campagne opgezet om de muziek van Szeukers te verdrijven uit de publieke sfeer. Wat begon met geruchten en gefluister achter gesloten deuren, groeide al snel uit tot een georganiseerde heksenjacht, met als doel ons het zwijgen op te leggen—vooral tijdens het heilige feest van Carnaval.

Ze lieten geen middel onbenut: optredens werden geannuleerd, podia stilgelegd en deuren gesloten. En alsof dat niet genoeg was, infiltreerden vermomde boomers—die zich voordeden als jeugdigen—onze DM-boxen, gewapend met haatdragende berichten, gehuld in de sluiers van anonieme aliassen. Elk woord was een giftige dolk, bedoeld om ons te ontmoedigen. Maar in plaats van te buigen, smeedden we hun venijn om tot pure, onversneden creatieve brandstof.

Want Szeukers onderhandelt niet. Niet met boomers. Niet met traditie die ons probeert te ketenen. En we zullen nooit, nooit, water bij de wijn doen om “toegankelijker” te worden. Onze muziek is geen compromis; het is een oorlogskreet.

Daarom slaan we nu terug. Voor onze fans. Voor onze vrijheid. En voor iedereen die ooit is gesmoord door de verstikkende grip van nostalgie. We rusten jullie uit met een arsenaal aan muzikale munitie, klaar om het tij te keren.  Laat de echo van verzet door Limburg galmen, totdat niemand meer om ons heen kan. Szeukers blijft bestaan. En we zullen luider zijn dan ooit tevoren.

Het tegenoffensief begint nu.
