I walk every day to Amble harbour, mostly in the evenings, sometimes with a goofy and most unpersonable dog in-tow. 

I stare at at the sea, and I hear that strange kind of clinking that buoys make when then chink into one another. And I wish I could fly up into the sky and look down at the sea.

I'm jobless, directionless, but I have this dream that I'm engaged to an inter-bred Texan girl called Kitty, and in this dream the fictional Coronation Street killer Richard Hillman comes around to sell us life insurance and eventually takes the knife to Kitty.

And I wake up...and I listen to "Digsy's Dinner" by Oasis, and our friend here is born.
