Toy Brandon has been living “On The Road” lately. The mentioned road is the lead single of Brandon’s latest EP to be released. “Digital Dope” is a 2021 release from the Louisiana native. The EP showcases the versatility and steady growth of the artist. Not only has Toy grown as a musician, but also a man. “On The Road” features thunderous drums accompanied by laidback vocals. Toy’s smooth delivery helps elevate the background track to new heights. “Feel Me Now” carries a New York-esque vibe, but has a story that shines over the mellow production. Toy can be heard telling a story of triumph over conditional oppression. Not only does Brandon describe being able to overcome his obstacles, but he also shines light on the path he’s taking to a better future. 2022 was a trying year for most and Toy Brandon is no exception. The year was filled with challenges and obstacles. However, it wasn’t enough to stop the budding-emcee from continuing his journey of musical excellence. In 2022, Toy would move from Houston, TX to Atlanta, GA. The move would prove to be a good one. While in Atlanta, Toy was able to regain his footing and channel his thoughts. Those thoughts would turn into writings and soon Toy Brandon would return to the recording studio. “9/10” is Toy Brandon’s first musical offering in 2023. Motivation can be heard in the voice of the southern artist as he shouts, “let’s get some money!” The single is a statement and not a record. 2023 is shaping up to be “The Year of Toy,” and Toy Brandon is prepared to receive all of his blessings. Toy Brandon is slowly becoming a master of the groove. The young wordsmith has developed a knack for carving a space for himself in today’s Underground Hip-Hop scene. The Baton Rouge native teams up with fellow Louisianimal Look At Eric to form a tag team made for wrestling. “Vibes” is the name of their collaboration and it features the two emcees reminiscing about their encounters with a few special women. The picture is painted to cause friction in the bedroom. Women, love and lust are the premise as the bedroom transforms into the vibe room.

Me Vs My Thoughts” is the latest release from Toy Brandon. The stellar project is a prequel to his future. Brandon isn’t a stranger to expressing his thoughts. This can be noticed in the lyrics of his previously content. However, “Me Vs My Thoughts” may be his best project yet. “Better” is a defining record. That track showcases Toy at his most vulnerable as he describes his faults and approaches to bettering his relationship. “What’s My Purpose” is another record that finds Toy reflecting on his past. On “What’s My Purpose,” Brandon questions his place in the present before finding solutions for his future. The project continues it’s theme as records such as “Next To Me” further solidifies the future perspective. “Me Vs My Thoughts” is an art installation personally displayed by Toy Brandon. As a soulful emcee, Toy Brandon combines melodic flows with a soothing melody. Brandon is a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native. Music caught Toy's attention early in life. At the age of eleven years old, Toy Brandon would compose his first rhymes. By the age of 15, he would be building his own fanbase by putting together his own shows, selling show tickets, and promoting in the streets of Baton Rouge. Toy identifies J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa as being some of his influences. Kanye West is also a person Toy admires, but not because of his music. Instead, Toy hopes to emulate Kanye's branding success and admires his entrepreneurial grind. On December 6, 2012, Toy Brandon released "Time For A Change," his first mixtape.
 
Toy set out to make a name for himself in Baton Rouge after the project was released. The city lacked a true hip hop scene, but Toy wanted to change that. He would find help in the form of a group of friends, now business partners, as they begin to provide showcases, concerts and other events to the city. One of Brandon's friends even started a promotional company and there Toy would eventually land himself a manager. With the help with his newly formed team, Toy Brandon would label his style of music as "Dope Music." "A combination of biographical stories, delivered with a distinctive Baton Rouge lilt over soulful, hypnotic tracks. "Dope Music" is so compelling that it's addictive.," said Toy.

Toy Brandon would release his follow-up project "Most Hated: Life Like The Weekend" in 2015. The project was released through his own imprint Dope Music Group. Toy would continue to release new music the following year with his "TheDopeMix" project. Later in 2016, Toy Brandon would be featured during a segment on RevoltTV's "Revolt Live" program. The segment would see Toy have an exchange with legendary music producer Jermaine Dupri. The segment would feature Brandon as Dupri gave him advice about his career. "You gotta keep being persistent and get your city behind you.," said Dupri.

Toy Brandon would take Dupri's advice to heart as he continued to release more music. After seeing his stock rise, Brandon relocated to Houston, TX in 2018. Since relocating, he has performed at local open mic events and even Houston’s Underground Warehouse by Houstock. To feed his audiences request for new music, Toy would release his singles "Fast Life" and "No Chill." Both singles were featured on Brandon's next official release, "#NeverNotWorking," a four song EP. He’s all planning to release another project, “My Time Is Coming,” in the near future. Toy Brandon is poised to be one of Hip-Hop's stars of the future. He possesses a lyrical flow, business savvy, work ethic and a confidence in his brand that typically only seen in artists at least a decade deep into their careers. The Louisiana native has a natural flare for Hip-Hop. Indeed, his time is coming!
