Toydrum 'From The Vault' Series

The first in a brand new series of tracks in mixes 'From The Vault' of Toydrum, spanning across past collaborations and projects. 

'Return to the Wild' originally featured in 2010 as part of a exhibition with Kai & Sunny. 

The mix is a mash of styles - The idea being to create a piece of music using genres that would not usually work together.

Hip-Hop meets Psych-Rock meets Disco - and back again.

TOYDRUM are Pablo Clements / James Griffith ( UNKLE / Psychonauts / / Lake Trout / Big In Japan )

Pablo and James  have been working together since 2007, as part of the creative force behind UNKLE music. UNKLE are known for producing diverse music from electronic, rock and particularly cinematic music with numerous credits on films, such as X-Files and Twilight: Eclipse

Pablo has also had success in his own right with the Psyconauts and worked with David Holmes on various films including Oceans 12.  He has a hugely eclectic and in-depth knowledge of music and is a master of all matters to do with programming and beats.  

James comes from a more traditional musician background, having spent many years as part of American based bands Lake Trout and Big In Japan before joining the UNKLE troupe.  As well as being a multi-instrumentalist, James has a real handle on song structure and melody that has been honed over the years

They now write and produce music together under the name of Toydrum.  Continuing to push their sound forward from the music they created as UNKLE.
