Six months after their last installment, Shir Khan and Exploited drop another hot to trot collection of disco edits. As usual, there's much to excite, beginning with the familiar guitar solos, Rhodes keys and dub disco pulse of Antilope's "Singing Ghost" rework. Death On The Balcony keep up the reverb and delay-laden dub disco theme on "Addict For Your Love", whose rubbery groove, twinkling pianos and heady vocals have been expertly rearranged to fit house dancefloors. Finally, Matpat go loop crazy on the thumping disco house cut "Only You" which sits somewhere between Rahaan and Soundstream. Excellent stuff all round.

The Ep's name Deja Vu refers to the inspiration Tony Disco had while making the tracks. Pinot Noir was inspired by Daft Punk's album Discovery, Zombie Fever is inspired by Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Summer at Donnas is of course inspired by Donna Summer’s I feel love. The title Royale with Cheese references Pulp Fiction, where John Travolta shows off his excellent dancing skills, what better music to dance to than some good old italo!

MUSHROOM HOUSE is the Toy Tonics‘s series for indie-afro-weirdo dancemusic. On this compilation you find the 11 best tracks: Guest producers Kiwi, Harry Wolfman, Hugo Capablanca, Art Alfie from Studio Barnhus and Vito & Druzzi from New York‘s Throne of Blood made these unusual tracks for the Toy Tonics series. Red Axes, DJ Sprinkles, Joe Claussell contributed remixes. There is also Italian fashion designer Marcelo Burlon featured on one track (the wonderful Mammaraccho by The Barking Dogs). En pleine préparation de son nouveau live pour les Transmusicales de Rennes 2018, Dombrance, connu pour son hit "The Witch", membre du duo DBFC et remixeur de Superpoze, Cascadeur, Is Tropical, GET A ROOM, a jeté son dévolu sur le titre "Ce soir je m'en vais" du duo parisien SLOVE en feat. avec Maud Geffray (du duo SCRATCH MASSIVE qui sort un nouvel album le 26 octobre prochain).

Alors que le titre original nous embarquait dans une ballade au phrasé poétique sur une instru électro-punk cadencée, Dombrance nous propulse dans un long voyage groovy et cotonneux qui séduira autant les clubbers addict au dancefloor que les mélomanes amateurs de dimanches pluvieux devant la cheminée.
