Mysterious producer KIAN T is a crazy guy - living in a lonely house on a top of a hill somewhere in Italy. Surrounded by a collection of rare old synths and vintage samplers, a little dog and the best red wine of Italy. Kian T is making beats all day long. That's his life.

He started his career on Toy Tonics last year and now is back with an own EP - full of that fucked up, jazz influenced cut & paste House sound that is taking over the house world since last year. Similar to his friends Rhode & Brown, Fouk, Nachtbraker or the guys around OYE records in Berlin he loves to create this special way of sampling old Jazz records and using rare vintage synthesizers instead of digital computer sounds. Just listen to the „normal“ deep house records of the last years and compare it with the sound of Kian T. Using these old synths makes a big difference. You can hear it on every of his tunes: There is no cheap sound here - everything is FAT and has a very warm, personal, always easy to recognize sound-aesthetic: courtesy of the four synthesizers he uses: The Korg Polysix, the Sequential Prophet600, a Roland Juno 60, and the legendary Oberheim Matrix 6. And courtesy of the way he mixes his tracks: not in the laptop - but the old way: on a fat old mixing desk. That's why he has that massive sound.

A year ago we were pleased to present 'Sample Colossus'; debut album from the prolific Colombian producer Felipe Gordon (https://soundcloud.com/felipe-gordon), who have now managed to release his music through well known labels such as Toy Tonics, Quintessentials, Secret Reels, Sampling As An Art and Street Tracks.

Without sidelining his signature Lofi Jazz House, Felipe Gordon comes back to Nomada Records with 'Wolf Slang Amateur Prozac Ep' a combination of different states of mind where he accomplish to mature his sound and improves his production techniques through meticulous sampling, syncopated drums, self vocal arrangements and a detailed composed work using synthesis.

Five original tracks and a remix from a new french talent in the  Lo-Fi House scene, G2S, make  “Wolf Slang Amateur Prozac” the perfect EP for the dance floor.

Leipzig label Velours seeks to evoke and extend the polished deep house sound of producer Luvless. After years of co-running Rose Records with his pals Martin Hayes and M.ono, as well as a strong catalogue of contributions as both a solo and tandem producer, the German slickster launched his own label in late 2017. The first release, from upstart Italian producer Weast, was a package of smooth jams, combining aspects of underground deep house and “lo-fi” production nods. For Velours’ second EP, they call up Name for another four tracker of lush cuts.

The Side Effect EP is a little more laid back than the label’s debut release, often choosing to employ samples as the lead reference as opposed to the heady hardware of the Weast EP. For our premiere, we’ve got the EP’s title track, “Side Effect” on deck. So then, let’s dive in.

The affair begins with a 909 kick clap being joined with a looping disco sample and oh-so-familiar hi-hats. Clever filtering and rides serve to hustle the track along before the b-line. It’s a filtered disco cut that smells fragrantly of french house influence in its drum programming and sampling technique..

The rest of the EP maintains the aesthetic of smart sample chops and hardware drums. Those familiar with the work of Luvless and the Rose Records boys will be pleasantly unsurprised by that facet. Like the 001, the Side Effect EP is limited to 300 units. And it’s available soon.
