Silat Beksi brings a slice of minimalist heaven in the launch of Caprices Festival's new vinyl label.

The Swiss outfit have been a strong influence on the tastes of electronic music over years as this year marks their 20th edition. Everyone from Ricardo Villalobos and Luciana to Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin are regular features at this annual feast in the Swiss Alps.

It was only a matter of time before they ventured into the vinyl market and continue their story on wax. The first release arrives in the form of five tracks spread across vinyl and digital from the Berlin-based Israeli Brizman. His previous work has landed on the likes of Subtil and Artreform Records along the likes of Priku and Christopher Ledger which featured on the Trommel channels last year. Nobody knew too much about Krywald & Farrer when their email landed in our Gmail accounts late earlier this month. They’ve earned their stripes, yes. Their residencies at a number of London’s clubs tell us that story. But today’s debut tells us that they clearly just get a kick out of smushing genres together.

“The People’s Asafo” sees warm house textures flirt with an infusion of Ghanaian beatwork for eight minutes. A coaxing leg-shaker if there ever was one. It arrives on March 30th (via Silver Bear Recordings) and backed by B-side “He’s The Chief” which continues the afrocentric theme with gusto.

The second edition of the Rose Records limited 10" series comes courtesy of Junktion, whose releases on the likes of Outplay and Slow Town didn't only sell out at breakneck speed but also established him as one of Holland's biggest talents in discerning deephouse/disco circles.

Junktion does what he does best on this delightful little platter. The lolloping 'Running for Whatever' on the A is as infectious as they come, with loads of clever samples arranged over classy rolling drums and a deep, rubbery bassline. Flip over for Pale Blue Dot, a slightly tougher, trippier uptempo workout with spaced out pads, big drums, crisp hats and massive synth stabs that should whip up a real frenzy in a packed club. Killer pair of tunes from a producer that's very much on top of his game.
