Izo FitzRoy has been on incredible form with her third album ‘A Good Woman’. The LP has continued to climb to starry heights via the most reputable playlists and discerning radio stations and while Izo is touring the album this summer, friends old and new are working a dancefloor spin on some of the albums highlight cuts. Izo FitzRoy is an artist who writes from the soul, but this is not the first time she has tapped into the mood of the dancers, with previous productions by the mighty Dimitri from Paris and Crazy P kingpin Hot Toddy.
For the second set of remixes Izo looks to Art of Tones. Having previously recorded together at his studio in France, when he got the chance to take his pick he knew straight away it would work! With his roots deep in the underground, Art of Tones star continues to shine brightly, and on ‘Small Mercies’ he serves up a vocal edition - which could easily have been a number from the Barnard & Niles Chic era – that is perfectly positioned for sun drenched summer beach clubs and hot Adriatic boat parties.  Alongside, his Dub ups the tempo and the Quincey factor putting the focus firmly on the killer gospel backing vocals rather than Izo’s lead.
Lucky Cloud Loft Party, Balearic Breakfast, and Classic Album Sundays’ Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy is also on board with her Cosmodelica remix touch. One of our communities leading lights, Colleen has to be one of the most well-respected DJ’s and producers on this planet! Known for her high-quality audiophile sets, she was hand-picked by Izo to add more scorching summer heat to the package. Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy chose the gloriously emotional ballad ‘God Gets a Little Busy Sometimes’ knowing full well she could take the gospel goodness of the original and turn it into a certified dancefloor gem.

Toy Tonics signed Gee Lane also known as Virginie. Her debut Metamorphosis EP (with remixes by Demi Riquísimo and Divorce From New York Remix & PIEK will come out in October. 
Gee Lane is a Venezuelan DJ and vinyl digger based in Barcelona. Gee Lane has been djing with the Toy Tonics Krew already for more than a year now. Kids who go to dance to the Toy Tonics Jam happenings around Europe might have seen her jamming with Kapote and the TT krew and spreading her fabulous music with an extremely positive energy and attitude. Gee Lane is a unique personality with a very strong style (in music but also as a person) and very elaborated ability to read and play with the dancers. Now she delivers her first ever EP. Recorded in Barcelona and Berlin with a little help by Robin Braum from Athlete Whippet. And it reflects well her roots and passion for everything what came out from New York in sense of dance culture. You can hear influences from the 80‘ promo disco scenes as well as the 1990 Body & Soul/ Francois Kervorkian ä/ Joe Claussell universe. In fact Gee Lane after being raised in Cara as and musically educated by her father from a very early age, (a composer and musician) she moved to New York at a very young age in the late 90's where she fell in love with the HOUSE scene. And especially everything that happened at the famous and influential ’Body & Soul’ club.

This culture increased her curiosity to become a DJ (and vinyl digger herself) who is not just interested in house music but wants to explore other genres such as funk , Hip-Hop , jazz and Latin sounds and include these vibes into her DJ sets. A vinyl collector (and long time record shop employee) since then, she is known for her musical eclecticism that leads her to mix everything what she wants ...

Besides her DJ activity she is the host of the radio show: Table For Two on Radio d59b (Belgrade/Berlin).

Gee Lane now is a steady member of the Toy Tonics Krew and is already playing the Toy Tonics Jams all around Europe. A second EP is in the making.

Athlete Whippet returns to Toy Tonics with his 3rd EP ‚U Never Listen’ on the German powerhouse dance label. Having studied music at Goldsmiths in London, Robin Braum aka Athlete Whippet is known for exploring the more playful side of house music and those genres around it, rich in instrumentation and variation. More performative than ever, ‘U Never Listen’ comes full of vocals, performed instruments, lively arpeggios, no samples, but racked with hooks. Having played and sung in bands all of his teenage years, Robin is picking up singing again on this record on title track ‘U Never Listen’ and ‘Maybe’. ‘Release Me’ features beautiful, multilayered vocals by Allysha Joy, known for her solo work on labels like Gondwana and First Word but also for being the voice of Australian cult outfit 30/70. It’s not the first time the two collaborate after Athlete Whippet’s remix of 30/70’s ‘Tempted’ on Rhythm Section reached millions of plays across the world. The EP is also a product of Robin’s deep friendship with Athlete Whippet founding member Avi Barath who co-wrote many of the songs.

Part of the core Toy Tonics crew alongside Barbara Boeing, Cody Currie, Kapote, Sam Ruffillo and Gee Lane (whose debut EP just dropped and was co-written and co-produced by Robin), Athlete Whippet has been touring across Europe this year and a full Australia tour is lined up around the EP. ‘U Never Listen’ comes fresh off the heels of his collab EP ‘Into You’ with Amy Dabbs on Aus Music. Generally taking a communal approach to music, Robin has been hosting intimate nights with DJs from far across the electronic music ecosystem since 2019. Guest sets from the likes of Seb Wildblood, Jitwam, Rebecca Vasmant, Fouk, Amy Dabbs, Hidden Spheres, Will Saul and some of the scene's brightest new talents have made for some unmissable parties in London's and Berlin's cosiest venues. In line with this ethos, he also co-ran artist collective and record label Squareglass - a proudly established home for new artists coming out of South London.

Athlete Whippet's work has seen regular support on radio stations worldwide incl. BBC Radio 1 and 6 by the likes of The Blessed Madonna, Sarah Story, Jamz Supernova and Danny Howard. His last Toy Tonics EP 'Nogueira' saw him on the cover of Spotify's Fresh Finds.

Toy Tonics created a new format: The TOY TONICS JAM PACK. 
On these compilation the label features hit tracks of the DJs that perform at the TOY TONICS JAMS. These Jams are the house music happenings the label throws since 2 years all around Europe. By now there are 2-4 Toy Tonics Jams every weekend. Most are sold out. They take place bi-monthly in the cities like London (E1, Phonox, Village Underground, Color Factory), Paris (Rex, Sacre, Badaboum), Milan, Barcelona, Amsterdam and many other cities. Most of these parties are sold out with more than 800 kids dancing (yes it's a very young crowd at the Toy Tonics parties). Some of the DJs and their tracks are getting big responses on the dance floors and so Toy Tonics thought it might make sense to put a stronger focus on these party bangers.

From now on 2-3 times a year Toy Tonics will release these mini compilations so the dancers can find these tracks easier. The first Toy Tonics Jam Pack features dance floor burners by Toy Tonics boss Kapote himself, and label mates Bárbara Boeing, Dan Shake's remix of Cody Currie, new TT artist Gee Lane and Stump Valley and the Toy Tonics classic Coeo - the label's biggest artist.

Toy Tonics presents GOMMA DANCEFLOOR GEMS VOL.1
It’s all about Y2K, Punkfunk and Indie Disco!
Toy Tonics record brings a collection of tracks originally released on the German GOMMA RECORDS label between 2001 and 2010. Gomma was one of the key labels of the Y2K indie dance wave along with labels like James Murphy’s DFA and Trevor Jackson’s OUTPUT Records. And as the 90ies revival that dominated the last years in fashion and electronic music reached its peak (Techno and Electronica is pure 90s revival music) the Toy Tonics gang thought it’s a good moment to re-mind some of these early 2000’s tracks that connected a more raw, indie disco and punky funk vibe. It was another energy in those party days. Gomma was happening in Berlin off-location clubs like SCALA and RIO, London’s TRASH or 333 parties and Paris KILL THE DJ and PARIS PARIS clubs. 

Those Y2K clubs and the Gomma label brought together 80ies inspired Indie rock artists like NickMcCarthy of Franz Ferdinand (who was producing records on Gomma before getting world-famous) and Electro punk princess Peaches (who did a whole Disco album on Gomma records and is featured on this compilation with a cover of „Maniac“ from the Flashdance movie soundtrack). Italian disco legends like Baldelli or Robotnick were popping up in those times after years of silence (before getting hype again later) as well as Gomma’s own discoveries like WhoMadeWho (their first 2 albums were quite punk funky and produced by Gomma’s head honcho Mathias Modica), Italian disco punkster Rodion, Parisian nasty funk dude Golden Bug, London’s mysterious prince of new wave prince Midnight Mike (who started at Gomma and later ended up on Ed Banger records) and Gomma’s main act Munk. And yes, there is even DJ Severino, who did a proto house remix for the label in the early Horse Meat Disco days.
That raw and nasty Gomma sound that mixed up many genres and made it's own sexy, in your face music mélange that was very in demand in those days from 2000 to 2010 and inspired many artists. Not just music people like James Murphy, who did music with Gomma before, starting his own LCD Soundsystem, or bands like Chromeo, New Young Pony Club or Soulwax, who started later with a similar vibe, but also art, graphic and fashion people took inspiration from the Gomma world: Gomma’s edgy album cover designs, their poster fanzine, their colorful t-shirt designs and the whole style that the bands, DJs and people at their worldwide parties were rocking became a MUST all over the world. In the early 2000’s it was just art students from London’s Central St. Martins or Berlin’s UDK school that played that sound on their parties, later magazine like VICE or i - D invited Munk and the Gomma acts to their parties and later it was fashion brands like Prada, Margiela, Karl Lagerfeld and Hedi Slimane who used Gomma artists to make music at their fashion shows or events.
Gomma then in 2015 finally closed. When a lot of new labels popped up copying the Gomma attitude and styles (till these days).
Gomma’s head honcho and main inventor Mathias Modica stopped the whole thing, changed the name and started something new:  Toy Tonics records. Yes!
Toy Tonics came out of Gomma and that’s why now it’s time to remember the old inspirational days.
(Gomma’s other very important part was the graphic designer Mirko Borsche who created the whole Gomma look with Modica and Jonas Imbery the other Gomma member. Mirko Borsche since then made an exceptional career doing designs for fashion labels like Supreme and Balenciaga and being the creative director of magazines like ZEIT, Spike or Kaleidoskope.)
Mathias Modica aka Munk aka Kapote himself now is busy with Toy Tonics, which basically is bigger than Gomma ever was: Spreading a very own sound of organic house and disco funk. With party happenings all over Europe every weekend and a very young audience.
