James Lawson is one of my favourite producers, and one that I felt was often overlooked. He burst onto the scene in 2002 with Energise, a track that quietly became the blueprint for the UK Hard Trance sound and is still one of my all-time favourite tunes. Not only a master of incredible remixes, but also an engineer for all the big DJs and one half of live act The Edison Factor, with fellow producer Matt Williams. A true Hard Dance legend.

Frantic Classics (2000 - 2004)

The next in my Tribute Mix series is dedicated to the mighty Hard Dance duo Lab4.
It would be impossible for me to recollect the amount of times I saw them play around the country, but it all started with a Pendragon NYE event at Tyssen Street Studios in 1997. 
After seeing them that night, I would then pretty much go to every event that they were playing at.
I have some amazing memories from those days associated with their tracks, and if it wasn't for these two guys I would never have fallen in love with this genre of music and been inspired to write and produce my own tracks years later.
