"Shadows of Plato" transforms the dialectic into a dance. This is Modern Tango at its most intellectual and visceral—a sharp, staccato journey from the darkness of the Cave to the light of the Good.
The soundscape is defined by the tension between discipline and passion. A weeping bandoneón represents the longing of the soul (Eros), while a precise, aggressive piano hammers out the logic of the Forms. The rhythm section features a driving double bass and complex, syncopated percussion that mimics the heartbeat of the "Charioteer" struggling to control his horses.
The vocals are dramatic and theatrical, moving from whispered philosophical inquiries to soaring, passionate crescendos. It is a sound that feels like a heated argument in a dimly lighted Buenos Aires café—where every step is a question, and every pause is a realization. This is the sound of the soul remembering what it once knew, set to the pulse of the tango.
