Evolution Chamber is honoured to welcome Akrom to the imprint with his debut single 'The Last Day / Medjay'.

Since his first release in 2015, Akrom has become synonymous with heavy dancefloor-oriented Drum & Bass. He has released music on some of the scene's most prestigious labels, including Blackout and the late Optiv's Red Light & C4C, as well as collaborating with artists such as IHR, Myselor, and Disphonia. Now embarking on a new direction by implementing his musical skills into his compositions, it was inevitable that he would pique the attention of Evolution Chamber, leading to his debut release on the label.

'The Last Day' sees Akrom team up with the exceptional vocalist and fellow Italian Martina May. With a subtle but euphoric pad intro, later accompanied by Martina May's vocals, don't be fooled by the track's calm and airy beginning as it progresses into an intense dancefloor onslaught that will leave the listener begging for mercy. The flip side sees Akrom apply his musical prowess to deliver 'Medjay,' a track that takes no prisoners from the outset as it weaves through a treacherous, yet progressive and rhythmic journey into the next phase of Akrom's sound. 

This release marks a new chapter for both Evolution Chamber and Akrom in the first of what we hope will be many more to come.

Through his lifetime the sage had traveled far, crossing both the vast distances of the physical world and the great expanses of his immaterial soul in the pursuit of divine knowledge that drove him ever onwards. The latest leg of this lifelong journey had brought him to a precipice in both of these locales and, taking a brief respite upon it, visions of divergent pathways swam through his mind’s eye. 

Each route lay now before him wreathed in flames that obscured with their cast shadows both journey and destination as lay along their course. Standing at the fore of each was a guardian animal, offering guidance through the trials of the unknown path that lay before the sage. A wolf offered its companionship and ferocity, a crow its intelligence and vision, a deer its alertness and grace, and a fox its elusiveness and cunning. Yet only one could lead the sage through all that lay beyond, and three paths would be left behind in the shadow of the great mountains that loomed before him. Thus it was that the sage tapped into the power of his own greatest strength, the INTUITION that had guided him for all of his life, and that would do so for all that remained to come. 

MYSELOR makes his EATBRAIN debut with INTUITION, an EP that unveils a new set of sonic secrets for the ears of the label’s horde. Within, the Greek DJ taps into the sensation that serves as the title for his latest body of work, deftly crafting the basslines within in accordance with its supernatural guidance and in following with the theme set by his releases “Rebirth” and “Soul Power” that have come before.
