"Boarded up windows make hoarders of widows..."

Shallows Within is a haunting exploration of urban decay and the psychological toll of watching a culture crumble. Set against the backdrop of a freezing winter’s eve, the track navigates the "husk of a town" that was once filled with life, now replaced by corruption, isolation, and the desperate need to sell one’s passion just to survive.

The Origins
This track didn't start in the booth; it began as a raw poem. I wrote these verses as a rhythmic reflection on the places we once knew—the steeples where people congregated and the streets that used to breathe. Translating it from the page to the mic allowed the weight of the "cool winter's eve" and the rot of the "Manchurian plot" to take on a visceral, sonic life.

It’s a song about the "rearview"—looking back at the growth we lost before the bird flu, the bullets, and the prisons took over. It’s an invitation to look at the devastation and find what remains in the shadows.
