With "Boy," SGF embraces a duality that asks the question: how deep does this go? 

"Boy" yearns for confidence over a slow build of skittering bass, drums, and plucks. There is unease: am I going to find out the true nature of this relationship? Audacity pushes the anxiety aside as the chorus hits. Your head-nod turns into a dance. 

This may have been too reckless. A delicate synthesizer solo gives way to a renewed ache. It's the end of the night, and you are still far from an answer. 

Day breaks. "Boy" throws its cares away, and so do you. You'll always have your memories. Celebrate them and dance.

The conflicted emotions of "Thoughtless," SGF's driving synthpop anthem, mirror shifting moods that burble underneath. Periods of calm and storm pull at the spirit as melodies dance around feelings of ending and transition. A rubbery, incessant bassline tries like hell to push sad memories away. Oh, but there are wild things inside of us! Synthesizers blossom with baroque flourishes. A throng of voices shouts the hook until it becomes a call to action. 

Acceptance can be celebratory! 
Closure can be ecstatic!
