First up, we have the hardware electro genius, Ole Mic Odd, who has been dropping some incredible releases on renowned labels such as 99cts Records, Zement, Source Material and most recently, Kri. He’ll be taking over the first hour with his unique sound. Then, for the second hour, we’re welcoming another LA heavyweight, DJ ANGELDU$T, also known as Billy, who is currently part of the exciting US electronic duo project, LOWER TAR. As @midgar_records transitions from fledgling newcomer into a keenly anticipated name in the techno scene, we approached Jacopo Severitano for a few words about the label and a showcase mix demonstrating the label's overcast aesthetics.

As Dollkraut, Pascal Pinkert very much operates out on his own. His mastery of sound makes for music that is at once from the future but also reminiscent of the past. Fusing synth and new wave, pop hooks and a knack for rough riding grooves, he is a versatile producer who can freak you out or make you open your heart. The Dutchman does so with releases on labels like Doppelschall and The Gym; releases that soon sell out and become much sought after. His latest is the gritty yet romantic Holy Ghost People album, which is due on Jennifer Cardini’s new label in March. 

The same haunting but spaced out 70s sound that characterises his music and DJ sets also defines the mix he has put together for us here. It’s a jaunty journey through a cinematic and upbeat world of naive pop, electro boogie, robot disco and glam-synth gorgeousness that oozes style. Few DJs have a sound that manages to be as aesthetically tight yet musically diverse and this, but Dollkraut pulls it off with ease.

The presence of a new dark vortex is confirmed on the eighth and farthest known planet from the Sun. Lost Trax lead us to the heavy heart of Neptune’s Great Dark Spot for the one year anniversary of Neptunian Influence Podcast. 

An anonymous collective of artists, Lost Trax create raw, emotive music in the forms of deep and infectious electro, acid and techno. While the producers have their individual projects, they join forces to make a ‘Lost Track’ when inspiration strikes. “Combining acidic twisted basslines with tight Detroit electro elements,” Lost Trax consider early Detroit Techno to be a major influence in their sound. 

Since 2006, Lost Trax have released nine Singles and EPs on respected labels such as @tabernacle-records, @shipwrec and @frustratedfunk. The Saturnian System / The Sequel, recently issued on the celebrated @delsinrecords, represents a solid retrospective of the collective’s earlier work that appeared on various releases between 2006 and 2010. Lost Trax return to Delsin this spring with a new EP.  

While Lost Trax prefer to keep their identities in the shadows, they’ve performed across Europe and recently headlined @tresorberlin with a live performance. Notably, they also performed at @mosaique-space in Saint Petersburg, Russia on New Year’s Eve 2017. It goes without saying, we hope to see Lost Trax on the West Coast sooner than later!
