Social Noise is a new project based in Moscow, an artist who, although he debuts as a producer, has an important trajectory in the club scene of the Russian capital and also, with a very personal musical style, with an amalgam of influences that place him in scenarios as different as Goa, EBM and electro. He is not the first artist to mix the tantric and psychedelic concepts of trance with the strength and industrial textures of Electronic Body Music. A fellow countryman of his, Rambal Cochet, already surprised us last year with a similar style with his album released on Soil Records and with the podcast of the second anniversary of this label.

Oni is a six-track that combines different rhythmic structures, from breaks to binary measures, most of them with slow cadences, although we can also find some tracks with a much faster speed, and with sound patterns rich in nuances that give an important weight to the bass lines, which are fed by deep sub-bass, powerful arpeggios and even imposing acid sounds. 

As a whole, this album, released by the Valencian label Fill-Lex Records, immerses you in a state of lethargy and an immersive experience. It is designed to trap the listener on the spot, as it seems designed to penetrate every last corner of the mind, from the vigour and strength of its textures to the hypnotism of its melodies.

Kri Records strike back with a cassette compilation under an appropriate name: Trust the Rust! Rust dealers come from all over the globe.

Nasty electro cuts are served by LA-based Ole Mic Odd who has released on labels such as Zement, Italian producer and the mighty Gravitational Waves owner DJ Nephil, British veteran Chupacabras with seals of approval on L.I.E.S. among others, and our Russian friend Larionov, who regularly puts out bangers for Rotterdam Electronix. The Electro part of the compilation is rounded by the local Ljubljana legend operating as a DJ and Honest Work label owner, 198319831983.

EBM-ish march is saluted by Black Dot, the duo of Christian Kroupa and Le Chocolat Noir, soon releasing music on Mechatronica and responsible for our first release. Christian has also joined forces with the Dallas and Science Cult native Aura Nox. NYC and wave EBM bangers are represented by R Gamble, Spinal is an up-and-coming producer from Chile having released a great EP on Pildoras Tapes, while Bianco Negativo is an Italian duo behind one of our fav labels, Marguerite Records.

10 tracks exploring the dark corners of Kri Records are available on a super cute cassette or digitally via Bandcamp.

Dry Tears es el último lanzamiento del sello Bruto Industries y su primera referencia editada en formato 12". En esta ocasión, xKukum, uno de los miembros fundadores del sello, presenta su primer trabajo en formato EP.


El disco, que fue grabado a finales del año 2020, traza un recorrido emocional desde la distorsión de la realidad provocada por la melancolía, hasta alcanzar la determinación para alejarse de ellos.  El EP está compuesto por cuatro temas originales que guían al oyente a través de este viaje, con influencias del EBM, Dark Wave, Techno… En la cara A encontramos unos temas con un enfoque más introspectivo y melódico para continuar en la cara B con unos sonidos más enfocados a la pista de baile. Como añadido especial, el artista colombiano Filmmaker aporta un remix del tema “No More Dramas”, complementando la atmósfera del disco con el sonido contundente que lo caracteriza.  


Este trabajo, al igual que los anteriores del sello, ha sido masterizado por Dan Böhler, que ha dotado al EP de una calidad de sonido que no defraudará a los amantes del género. El trabajo gráfico corre a cargo de Marcos Abella, que completa el concepto con un imaginario influenciado por la estética manga y anime.

Dry Tears is the latest release from the Bruto Industries label and their first release in 12" format. On this occasion, xKukum, one of the founding members of the label, presents his first EP.


The record, which was recorded in late 2020, traces an emotional journey from the distortion of reality caused by melancholy to the determination to move away from it. The EP consists of four original tracks that guide the listener through this journey, with influences from EBM, Dark Wave, Techno, and more. On side A, we find more introspective and melodic tracks, while side B offers sounds more focused on the dance floor. As a special addition, Colombian artist Filmmaker contributes a remix of the track "No More Dramas," complementing the atmosphere of the album with his characteristic powerful sound.


Like previous releases from the label, this work has been mastered by Dan Böhler, who has provided the EP with a sound quality that will not disappoint genre lovers. The artwork is done by Marcos Abella, who completes the concept with an imagery influenced by manga and cyberpunk aesthetics.
