Parisian-by-choice Detlef Weinrich aka Tolouse Low Trax turns the page again. Always willing for a new episode, notion, impulse, idea, ideal. Searching for some light out there. Now Kiosque Versions, a compilation compiled by himself, featuring seven edits by friends and treasured artists. They renew some rare TLT tunes, as well as hits, that never took the charts by storm. There is French legend and Tigersushi boss Joakim, edging the TLT winner Rushing Into Water from 2016. A guarded stepper, dancy, trippy, with an enchantress on his shoulder, that haunts your body and soul. The 2020 TLT tune Dawn Is Temporal, taken from his album Jumping Dead Leafs, comes as an old school hip hop leaning track, re-fashioned by New York’s Beat Detectives, including Amen-Break and nod-your-head vibes. Producer Ido Plumes from Bristol took Tristeros Empire home and worked it club-wise. A nervous beating modification, Detroit machines, motorway funk, cosmic gasps - pure driller killer. Glasgow's Dip Friso stays tense too. Echoes, tribal bounce, manic loops. Another driller in dub heaven. Like Paris based digi-dub explorers Froid Dub, who bring a great wave of warm grooves, making baroque-esk dub friends with Make Friends, a TLT track from his legendary three Volume strong 2016 Antinote sampler compendium. Their fellow countryman Simo Cell nervously metamorphoses A Song and a Photo Novella, a TLT soundtrack for a film by artist Nicolàs Guagnini. His version has all that bass, vibrates on an experimental subconsciousness, and aims the dancefloor with a stirring bouquet of rhythmic ideas. The dot on the I comes from TLT himself, remixing his very own music, translating the Gamelan melancholy of Subghosts, a tune from his 2010 debut album Mask Talk, into today, refined with dubby upsetting notes, a speed lift, and a very playful TLT groove. Let's turn the page.

Mechanoreceptor - Aviary Dwellings EP [No Static Automatic // NSA008]

New Zealander producer Mechanoreceptor is next up on No Static / Automatic presenting his steel-cold electro productions inspired by life and travel. Aviary Dwellings EP is a personal document of the artist's life setting out on the road travelling from his home country of New Zealand through Asia before landing in Germany. Along the way he observes experiences and reimagines them through his production, transcribing visual and tactile life experiences from the lens of a parallel reality named The Aviary.

Each track tells a story of his worldly experience. ‘Taxi Funk’ documents the taxis roaming silently through the city streets of Fukuoka, Japan. ‘Gamma Correction’ is born from the artist's time working in science labs in visual neuroscience. ‘Korean Couture’ is inspired by high fashion within Seoul, South Korea. ‘EZ-3 Wire’ and ‘Reducing Ties’ both come from a materials used for heart surgery procedures, from Mechnoreceptor’s time in medical manufacturing. Manta-ray Oscillator and Oxygenated Pearls. documents part of his experience scuba diving in the seas of Indonesia.

Wiremu Hohaia is the artist behind Mechanoreceptor, an entity drifting between, across, and within unexplored realms within The Aviary, a fictional hyper dimensional world. A research-intensive project, the Aviary’s myriad of intricate physical properties are slowly unveiling themselves. Commonplace phenomena have been discovered to be dynamic and fluid. Hardened surfaces melt into streams of chrome, waterfall mists convert to breathing curtains of diamond dust, and snowfall is instead composed of oriental ceramic shavings. Mechanoreceptor has appeared on Crazed Behaviour, Posse Up, Avoidant, and Ovelha.

"NAKTIS" (“Night”) is the first collaboration of four artists Eglė Stundžiaitė, Emilija Jonušaitė, Vytautas Skipitis, Tadeuš Jatkevič. An audio journey through the deepest emotions and secrets of the night. Each of the 5 songs reflects a unique state of their mood.

The group members did not always create this album in the same place. The creation process and the musical development of these ideas took place in two's, three's, and even individually. Afterwards, everyone would bring their own creative thoughts, sounds and then shape the music together. The track lengths in the album are very different. Some of them seem to have no end and it feels like a continuous musical journey, others - as soon as they start they end.

The creativity of the members of this musical project was influenced by everyone's personal experiences. They combined all those individual experiences into a harmonious whole, which became not only music, but also a deep inward expression.
