Tracklistings & Division Virtuel Records VA Compilation. Part1

We are very happy to announce the release of the first part of the joint compilation between Tracklistings and Division Virtuel!

A few months ago, Grégory from Tracklistings and Atix from Division Virtuel Records had the idea to create an electro compilation to merge the energies of our two projects. The enthusiasm was immediate - both on our side and within the electro community.

We received many submissions, all of them high quality, which made the selection process challenging. The result: a lot of excellent material and a compilation that will be released in three parts.

The first volume will be out at mid of June, with the next ones following every three weeks.

The project took a little time to come together, as it involved many people, and we wanted to do things properly: respecting each artist and delivering something solid and coherent.

Tracklistings has been offering mixes and exclusives around electronic music since 2008, without compromise, and has gradually specialized in underground electro. It has become a reference for fans of the genre.

Division Virtuel, based in Lyon and run by Atix, is a label that has been active for over 15 years. After several evolutions, it is now clearly focused on electro and electro-techno.

Trigger is a 3-track digital EP where Mascarpone blends raw electro, EBM energy, and more introspective moments. From high-tension club cuts to deeper, textured explorations, each track reveals a different side of a bold and uncompromising sound.

Trigger  
"Trigger" is a club-driven electro/EBM weapon built for high-impact moments on the dancefloor. Drawing from the aggression of modern EBM and the precision of classic electro, it hits with intent; a sonic command to move, sweat, and surrender to the machine.

Voltage  
"Voltage" fuses the raw energy of Detroit electro with the dark, mechanical pulse of industrial EBM. Gritty analog synths, metallic rhythms, and a menacing energy drive this dystopian dancefloor cut.

RG58  
"RG58" is a stripped-back homage to EBM and early industrial, driven by a heavy, locked-in bassline. Nodding to the legacy of Front 242, it merges electro precision with a cold, relentless rhythmic force.

‘Chromatic Shift’ opens the EP with a crisp off-kilter drum machine workout intertwined with breezy chords and bubbling bass notes before ‘Distant Glow’ throws down, dark, brooding arpeggio bass with dubby swells, gritty drums and hypnotising resonant synth licks.

‘Low Altitude’ follows next and dives back into deeper realms with a robust rhythm section, oscillating synth licks and bouncy bass stabs. Title-cut ‘Slow Talk’ then embraces a more balearic tinged aesthetic with dreamy keys, spoken word vocals and squelchy 303 licks before ‘Integral Shift’ rounds out the release with an amalgamation of twitchy synth work, saturated 808’s and ethereal textures.

Boris Divider - In Fragments Ep [Gladio Operations // GO 013]
 
The thirteenth release on the Gladio Operations label bears the signature of the great Spanish producer Boris Divider. This artist needs no introduction, as he is considered one of the pioneering producers of the electro scene in Spain, and active since the 2000s, releasing mainly on his label Drivecom.

After betting in recent years on more experimental and hypnotic sounds close to IDM, Boris returns to the pulse of the rhythms more rooted to the dancefloor with this EP titled “In Fragments”. Undoubtedly, this work brings us back to the artist's classic sound, which is reflected in “Content Location”, a track that envelops us with arpeggios and firm and forceful bass lines and well-developed masterful vocoders. The second cut we find is “In Fragments”, track that gives title to the EP and that lowers the pulsations to a softer and more emotional state.

The B-side opens with “Dynamic Algorithm”, where we get back to our dancing posture and enter dark territories, ready to explore a dynamic of sequences brimming with intrigue and suspense. We continue with “Fragmented”, where the Spanish artist delves into a journey of ambient sounds, with certain tensions in some passages. The EP closes with “Memories of Us”, where we discern his classic sound with subtle arpeggios and delicate sequences that flow in harmony with gloomy textures.
