New York City based Further Reductions is the live project from husband and wife Shawn (aka Vapauteen, 400ppm, Let Er Est) and Katie O'Sullivan (aka Rose E Kross, ppG). Back in 2014 they released their gorgeous debut album on Cititrax records. The album was an adventurous trip, where they pushed forward a unique sound. After all those years there will be a follow up to this EP on Knekelhuis. Expect a fusion of different sounds, grimy and pretty at the same time.

Weird Science is Sunday afternoon event series hosted by Remedy and @rhythmic_discourse at Magick City for local and guest dj's to showcase their personal tastes beyond regular club environment.

Presented here live recording of Kris Baha 2 hour set recorded on a Sunday of October 7th, 2018 in Brooklyn NY.

Kris Baha is multitalented Berlin based Australian producer and DJ with solo releases on labels like Pinkman and Cocktail d'Amore and Malka Tuti as Die Orangen duo with Angus Gruzman (aka Dreems). 
Kris also runs a Power Station label, remixes Boys Noize, Red Axes and multiple other names in the scene.

This time with Melbourne based producer Hymns, known for his beautifully restrained, spacious electro, Superhexagon regular J. Wiltshire, presenting his own glistening take on modern dubstep, Perth-based artist PTMC, upheaving all expectations with his surprising rhythms and syncopation and Schloss Records founder Karima F whose percussion and berserk melodies know no bounds. Diverse, yet of the same palette, this record paints a dreamy yet powerful picture.

Deemphasis is a french producer specializing in electro, acid and vocoder.
Originally from northern france, deemphasis was influenced in the late 80s by german, english, detroit and belgian techno sounds. in the 90s, he is very involved in the "demoscene" and uses "sound-tracker" to make music. Nowadays, he always uses the same approach.
it was at this time that he settled in clermont-ferrand, in the early 2000s, he began to do some concerts and he turned gradually to electro.

In 2010, deemphasis released its first 12 "ep" synthetic cells "on the umwelt label, newflesh records. Then, several ep and his famous album "mechanical beats" on ukonx recordings.

In this ep, deemphasis explores some of the feelings one can encounter in a post-apocalyptic world.
The opening title "my empire" is clearly oriented towards the dance floor and features a surviving robotic voice in a hostile environment.
An acid base consolidates the melancholy atmosphere.
The remix of "my empire" by the french producer "the observer" is a journey with some hypnotizing effects, deep experience and ongoing melodies take will take you to a different dimension, sounds rythmic, mysterious and variable... this remix are like a poetical description of some non-human race or nature of another dimension....

The b side begins with the track "obsession", presenting a long journey in the darkness. The mechanical rhythm sounds like a dehumanized factory fighting against continuous pressure.
The ep ends with a touch of hope, looking for a « rebirth », contemplating the galaxy full of stars.

PREMIERE: Armec - Sozin (AC Records)

Greek DJ and producer Rise Black has had a good season settled in the south of Spain, during that time he has taken full advantage to establish himself as one of the artists to follow in the future.

In his DJ sets and productions, electro is the predominant genre, but you can also hear echoes of EBM, techno, dark-wave, and acid.  His vinyl sets have allowed him to adventure a good part of the Spanish geography, as well as some more recent Dutch rooms.

His productions have come to light on digital and vinyl, with releases on the Underground Music Xperience labels and legendary Moustache Records of producer/showman David Vunk. He has also spent time launching his networks towards the publishing world, co-directing several record labels such as NNY Records, UMX, and Another Perspective.

An hour of wax gems only, enjoy the mix!
