Grown up on rock and metal, Matra got attracted to the broad alternative music scene in his homeplace Nijmegen. After being inspired by punishing sets from Identified Patient and Helena Hauff, he picked up dj’ing in 2019. Working on his sound, Matra developed a sincere love for electro music, eventually playing sets for Open Source Radio (Nijmegen), Calor (Arnhem) and several house parties. His collection and style of play yields shatteringly dark mechanic tracks, but also incorporates more fun and light weight electronic sounds. During the day, Matra is mostly busy with his masters in medicine during the day. In his spare time however, he continues to pursue his love for music and aspires to become a name in the Dutch electro scene.

Then, what can you expect in this set? High energy electro with a pace ranging from 140 to 150 bpm, containing some unexpected classics inside and outside the electro genre. It is a reproduction of my latest set at Open Source Radio. You will hear a collection of my personal favorites and in this set, I hope to encapsulate an uplifting energy that keeps the feet moving, hopeful in nearing the end of this pandemic.

▶︎ 6047 : "This mix came into conception originally when Unité November had approached me with a proposal to have his mix hosted on my show Elektronik Tranzmissionz. We both had our mixes featured on Tracklistings' Quarantine series & met each other around that time. Feeling that it would be more appropriate we ultimately decided to have our mix on Tracklistings again as it was Gregory & electro that brought us together hence the name of the mix Electro Unity. The first hour of the mix is mixed by Unité November while the second hour is mixed by 6047. We hope you all enjoy the mix as much as we did making it."

▶︎ From the suburbs of Paris, Unité November's sound is entirely made with analog synthesizers and bespoke camouflage clothes. The band mixes minimal electro, EBM, and industrial sounds.
It's aesthetics is influenced by Italian futurism and French Foreign Legion. 

▶︎ 6047 (read as GOAT numerically) is a Los Angeles based multi styled electronic DJ & producer whose musical diversity is reflected in his mixes & productions. Attention to detail is what is always present in his work. He is a specialist in programming concept & deconstructed mixes of which are a result of nearly 20 years of experience & progression. A specialist in creating a locked groove as well as progressive mixes that range from noise to jungle. Rather than boring people with long-winded bios written in 3rd person about his musical accomplishments he prefers to let the music do all the talking.
His mixes have been aired on the best podcasts & radio stations worldwide which have been featured throughout 15 countries & 110 shows. He is the host & curator of Elektronik Tranzmissionz Podcast.

When we talk about Luis M. Espinosa, we are talking about one of the greatest activists and musical exponents of the Madrid scene since the beginning of the nineties, being one of the most active and restless artists musically since his beginnings without wanting to pigeonhole or place limitations between musical genres or styles. Always understanding music as a whole.

Obsessed with music and cinema since he was a child, with all kinds of genres and styles, he began his journey like almost everyone else at that time, cutting and pasting songs on double cassette tapes, until he discovered the world of turntables, turntablism and scratching at the age of 10. And buying and collecting in Vinyl since the early nineties without stopping working with the Music and continue to expand its huge collection of vinyl for decades every day throughout these 44 years. Exercising his work as a DJ since the beginning of the nineties 93. Combined with his work as a promoter and catalyst of hundreds of sessions and events. Director for decades of many of the Events and Sessions.

From here on he is fully dedicated to the creation and promotion of events where eclecticism, the flight from fashion and typecasting have been the norm. It has become an important reference in the dissemination of different styles of black and electronic music in the capital. For example, we can mention the Sound City, A.I. Series, K4PHREX, Oberheinm, Electro Frequencies, Slow Motion, Round Nature & Zyrcadian Editions... cultivating and developing in a parallel way the noble art of DJing in venues such as Siroco, Café la Palma, Ballesta Club, Specka and many others throughout the country.

In 2020, he launches his publishing platform, Artificial Intelligence, a clear tribute to the memorable Warp series. Its main vocation will be to pay tribute and a sincere and heartfelt tribute to the pioneers of the early 1990s, from the first scene and generation of creators, artists and producers of the Bleep sound and pioneers of Braindance and Idm from labels such as Warp Records, Rephlex, Planet Mu and Skam Records.

Musician and activist since the first appearance of Raves, Umwelt has never stopped to propagate a fierce, raw and analog sound supported by a voracious passion for electronic music.
Founder of Rave or Die and of the New Flesh Records imprint, Umwelt boasts over forty releases to date, which place him among the most prolific French electronic producers. In 2016, after a long spell off the radar, this expert in ferocious distortions tinted with sweet melancholy delivered his second album, entitled Days of Dissent and released on Boidae. The opus was highly acclaimed by the public and the press, which proclaimed it an electro referent.

Letting instinct guide him in his path, the Lyon-based artist, a vinyl and analogue freak, continues the work of early pioneers with a wild and straight-to-the-dancefloor mode of transport, while progressively leading the listener into dark, melancholic, dancing and mental atmospheres where he alone has total control over the side effects.

I've just recently been selected along with a couple of other artists as one of the new faces of Tresor berlin which gave me the best opportunity I've ever been and probably ever will get given - to play in the prestigious cage within the deep dark depths of Tresor on the 7th of September 2022. When I listen back to this I can still feel the excitement and anticipation in the pit of my stomach as bodies started to move towards me through the smoke, right up until my last track when the crowd were climbing up onto the cage! It's been 4 years since we started the HD Mix series, featuring and hosting some of our best friends and favourite artists. We knew we had to make #100 a special one, and we couldn't think of anyone better to feature than electro-queen, Alienata!

We've been a massive fan of the @discos_atonicos honcho for years but were particularly blown away after seeing her live in the Hague at The Crave Festival in 2018, effortlessly blending between acid, electro, and techno.

As well as being a regular feature on many festivals and Berlins, infamous HOR bathroom, Alienata's record label has established itself as one of the most reputable imprints in modern-day electro, releasing with artists such as CYRK, w1b0, and The Spy, to name a few.

Massive thanks to all artists who have featured on the series to date, and here's to the next 100 🎉

Umwelt Presents Ravoluson / Episode 22

Welcome to the first Warehouse Manifesto 'In the Warehouse' mix. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time and it is finally here!

To kick-start the project, we have one of my favourite producers and vinyl DJs on the planet. The mighty @umwelt-music. Best described as 'the master of dark apocalyptic electro and futuristic sci-fi soundscapes'.

I started buying Umwelt's records in the late 90s and haven't stopped. Such a catalogue of amazing releases. He is the founder of such great labels as Rave or Die and New Flesh Records.

As a fellow vinyl enthusiast, he sets the bar when mixing records and I have been lucky enough to witness him DJ personally, so the bucket-list has been ticked, but can't wait to see him live again.

He has prepared a two-hour feast of electro, acid and techno for us and I am thrilled to be able to present this immense mix. Enjoy!
