For the very first time, we travel to the Austrian capital to welcome on board the one and only Xenia Nanou a.k.a. POLYXENE (@xenianogravity). A Greek artist based in Vienna who started out in the music universe as a sound engineer and soon became a thorough digger in her early years, was part of the platform @femdex, has her own monthly show on Movement Radio, and, all in all, has paved her way in the electronic scene evolving into one of the best electro DJ’s in this day and age. Her sets are a powerful blend of electro, IDM, and breaks skilfully combined which might escalate into acid or even techno making dancers go completely crazy. And this podcast is no exception. Bio:
Dutch producer RXmode has been releasing electro records on various labels since 2014, including the British Bass Agenda Recordings label and Mannequin Records from Berlin. His own style is clearly recognizable by the dark atmosphere and the rhythmic structure. From its first release his music has been picked up by big names including Dave Clarke, Helena Hauff and Umwelt.
For a few years now, RXmode has also performed dark electro music as a DJ in small clubs and at festivals. He recorded a dedicated mix for Arkada that takes you into the abyss. Have fun listening!

We're stoked to welcome Monger to the GF series. The talented producer and label owner runs the lauded Dead Channel Records and podcast series that is based in Kentucky. It boasts releases by L/F/D/M, Tans, Chris Mitchell, LostSoundBytes, Ccciclo, and many others as well as his own. The multi-talented individual designs all visual aspects of the label and works with the production and engineering duo Keith and Kevin. The label recently hosted a label night here in Amsterdam with Bertram and Acidic Male to celebrate the release of their EPs this year which included Charlton and marienus on the bill. The sixth episode, dedicated to the Madrid-based record label "Noise To Meet You", is mixed by Vronsky (@michael-vronsky).

Noise To Meet You was born in 2018 as a music label project aimed to provide a space where
artists that haven’t seen their music released on vinyl could have the opportunity to do so, along
with renowned ones who have been setting trends and providing quality music for years.

A Madrid-based electro label focused on the emotional side of the genre without losing sight of
the dance floor when it comes to its raw and powerful touch. On top of that, the talented
Spanish designer Anita Plástica is in charge of creating the artwork, that characteristic dystopian
visual universe bound to electro.

So far, artists such as The Exaltics, Teslasonic, Synth Alien or Delayscape have seen their tracks
released on the label, together with newcomers such as EBE-2, Module 3F or Zobol, among many
others. Up to now, and with seven limited edition releases in the market, the 8th is scheduled
for January 2023, and two more are in the making for the last part of the year.

With the same wide-ranging approach, Noise To Meet You podcast series offers, every two
weeks, a platform for both famed, newcomers and local talents to express themselves in front
of a growing audience. 214, Francois Dillinger, Plant43, Ivna Ji, and Lloyd Stellar have already
been a part of it.

Last but not least, Noise To Meet You brings together, now and again, its beloved followers at
one of the most iconic clubs in Madrid's underground scene to celebrate their very own N2MU
nights. After two successful parties, get ready for the upcoming third one!

Tracklistings Presents Episode #006 (2022.09.20) : Noise To Meet You

Wavelet is the aka under which the Valencian DJ Mario Ortega hides. He is characterized by being a faithful defender and activist of Electro in all its aspects (having a special interest in combining this style with styles such as IDM) as well as the vinyl format.

His interest in electronic music began in the 90's, influencing the sound of labels such as Warp, Skam, Direct Beat or Electron Industries. Later it was labels like Touchin`Bass, Ai Records or SCSI-AV that were carving his style as a DJ until in 2013 he finally decided to make the leap to the decks.

His career has always been closely linked to the Valencian group Hypnotica Colectiva (HC), being a member of the radio platform "Electronic Café Radio" for three years and organizing and being a resident of the We Are The Robots (W.A.T.R) parties of HC from 2014 to the present.

On the other hand, since 2014, it is common to find Wavelet in the booths of some of the main clubs in the city of Valencia, leading him to share the bill with artists of the stature such as ADJ, Carl Finlow, Boris Divider or Umwelt among others.

Together with Sigma_Algebra, he currently directs the Tensor Norm label, whose second vinyl release will be released on September of this year (see bit.ly/3KImm3s for more information).

1. Which artists has influenced you the most?

- My interest in electronic music began in the '90s, influenced mainly by the sound of labels like Warp, Skam, Rephlex, Direct Beat, or Electron Industries and groups/artists as Autechre, Aphex Twin, Jega, or Aux 88. Later they were the sound of labels like Touchin'Bass, Pyramid Transmissions, Ai Records, or SCSI-AV, which ended up establishing my musical tastes.

2. What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- I am currently entirely focused on running my label, Tensor Norm, which I co-run with Sigma Algebra. During the next few weeks, we will release our second 12”, Almost Everywhere, composed by various artists (Clone Theory, Sigma_ALgebra, LectrO cOd_E, Liðvarð, and Jaquarius) in an EP full of electro, breaks, acid, and IDM. But in the medium term, we already have several EPs closed focused more on the early IDM sound.

3. Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?

- In my opinion, nowadays, the electro genre is in an excellent state of health. There are many international artists I would highlight ADJ, Syrte, Serge Geysel, Junq, or Ben Pest, among others. On the other hand, regarding the Spanish electro scene, I would underline Kör Boira, Sigma_ALgebra, Negocius Man or Univac. Regarding labels, I would highlight the following: Science Cult, Arkada Records, Pyramid Transmissions, and as spanish labels: Analogical Force, Syntax Electronics, HC Records, Another Perspective, or Artificial Intelligence.

2022 has unarguably been a great year for Electro both with overall visibility for the genre as well as with the sheer number of quality releases being put out over the course of the year. This was also a year in which I took a break from my show and handed DJing responsibilities over to DJ friends from around the world. Couldn't be happier with how the year turned out for the show. I feel like It was a busy year both production-wise and promotion-wise for @DVSNME and @DarkScienceElectro respectively, however, I found some time to put together a mix of my favorite 22 tracks from 2022.
