Hydroz (aka Hydraulix) is the Miami Electro Bass outfit consisting of AshRock & JimiTheGenius. Together they have been releasing music since the early 2000’s and continue to push their sound till today. Drawing from their childhood influences (2 Live Crew, Debonaire Records, Cut It Up Def Records, MC A.D.E, Dynamix II, etc) to create their own unique hybrid.

With 20+ releases on labels like Kuad, Touching’ Bass, Monotone, Frite Nite, Zone, etc - and currently working on new material set to be released later this year, including a new track in this mix.

The ninth episode, dedicated to the famous US Electro label "CHP Recordings", is mixed by its boss himself : Grow (@adamgrow).

Florida based electro DJ and producer Grow (Adam Wilson) established CHP Recordings in 2007 with his debut vinyl release “Electronik Milk” which featured two original tracks and a remix by BFX that were all very well received by the electro community and all 1000 copies were sold. Since then, CHP Recordings has continued producing cutting edge electro music known for breaking the rules of tradition, and boasting creative ventures by all of the artists who have released under with them. Many well-known electro artists such as Fleck ESC, Ohverclock (Kounterakt of Code Rising and Grow’s band), R21, DVS NME, Anthony Nuzzo, N-Ter, Dwellz, Pip Williams (of London Modular Alliance), EKATA, Prototype, Morphogenetic, Phonotronix, Shadowbunny, and Code Rising. Over the past year Dirtybird recording artist, Mark Starr, has become the label manager and one of the key producers in new releases. He has already dropped 2 very well received remixes both charting very high on Beatport and staying there for a long amount of time, has another about to drop in late December (it can be heard in this mix) and has his first solo ep for CHP, [CHP042 Mark Starr – Body Control], slated to drop in January of 2024 (one of the tracks is also in this mix). The other key player in this next generation of CHP music is Cyborg Rhetoric who just dropped his debut 12 track album after a slew of very well received eps and remixes. Cyborg Rhetoric (Dan Cella) and Mark Starr have taken the reigns along with Grow for this next phase of CHP’s music and are dead set on elevating the label’s reach and keeping the content flowing on a very consistent high-quality basis. There have been talks with other fresh new artists who are interested in joining forces with the label so stay tuned as they are just getting started.
