Solid Steel in association with Serato (2nd October) Mainstay of the Swedish electronic scene HNNY has released prolifically across Sweedish labels Local Talk, the Alex Boman affiliated Studio Barnhus, and his own Puss (run with Kornél Kovács). Also known for his popular ‘Music For Listening’ mix series he turns in a Solid Steel mix that follows in the same vein, a laid-back selection with music from Sufjan Stevens, Matthew Halsall, Four Tet, Linda Perhacs and Aphex Twin.

@VonParty and @DreemsDreems are the dynamic duo behind international label @MultiCulti. It was back in 2013 that Montreal’s Von Party (who is also A&R for his brother Tiga’s Turbo Records and recently revealed that his name should be pronounced FUN PARTY - ideally in a German accent) teamed up with the Sydney producer and self-proclaimed Cosmic Sherpa known as Dreems. Proud of their roster of artists making “pan-globo-sexual soulstyle for our times”, the twosome are purveyors of music to dance to, music to trip to, and music to mediate to. 

Serial makers of sleep time soundtracks, we called on the label heads to put together a mix that’ll guide listeners to a peaceful slumber. Featuring music from Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, and the lesser known Dolphins Into The Future, it’s smooth, soothing and we’re planning to fall asleep to it tonight. Great dreams guaranteed.

The meister of all things moody & Malka Tuti related ‘Katzele’ shuts his mouth and opens the doors to his vast collection of incredible lucid-trance, sandman sloth and self help records to create a merry go round of emotional highs, lows and in-between-off-the-side-up-the-wall-and-off-the-roof moments. 

I was ling in for this session, recorded live at the @multiculti headquarters in Berlin, and can attest to its vital powers in producing hallucinogenic observations and out-of-body experiences. 

So - kick off those shoes, fluff that pillow, and leave your brain at the door. This is Sleep Mix Volume 12.
