For this weeks’ show we are celebrating Recombobulation: An annual music event linked the the Blazing Swan Community here in Perth. It acts as a first public event after the annual burn on Easter long weekend and this years event; REUNIFICATION took place this past Saturday night at the Swans Nest in Fremantle. The night wass a huge success, with two epic stages decked out with incredible artworks and production, featuring some of the top DJ's in the Blaze community.

From 2005, Sammie AKA Samantics craved more from the incredible music scene she’d fallen in love with…inspired by turntablist skills, it wasn’t long before she was the proud owner of a pair of Technic 1200s and a tidy vinyl collection.

Moving forward Samantics had become a crowd favourite playing regularly at Extended Play’s Liquid Lounge. Syrus has been mixing for the best part of 2 decades. Heavily involved in the NZ D&B. Syrus soon was a regular in the club and festival circuit in New Zealand and quickly started supporting touring international acts. Residing in Perth for the last 10 years, Syrus has slowly been adding to the Perth underground. During his career he has supported the the likes of dBridge, Instra;mental, Black Sun Empire, Kryptic Minds, Break, DLR, Seba, Djinn & Klute among a myriad of others with the pinnacle being a performing slot at Croatia's Outlook festival in 2019. Syrus brings a journey mentality to every set he plays, always with a nod to the past, he remains steadfast in his underground approach.

Being raised on a strict regime of organic death metal and funk, Voortrekker was drawn to obscure, heavy sounds and complex rhythmic percussion. It only made sense that he would later draw on these influences when he began DJing and producing drum n bass. Having supported some of his biggest drum n bass inspirations over the years such as DLR, Alix Perez and Ulterior Motive, one thing is certain: there will be funk.

Ellictt’s signature mixing style has seen her perform at major venues across Perth (Metro City, Villa Nightclub and Metropolis Fremantle) often before Drum & Bass heavyweights including Drumsound & Bassline Smith, A.M.C, TC, Fred V and Grafix, Danny Byrd and Loadstar.
