After writing this song I didn't write another song for a whole entire year..This was a single released along with a music video only a month after my first and oldest friend Steve Aceves was murdered in Pasco, WA. Until now you could only hear this by watching the video or buying the single on i-Tunes. It's not on any of my albums, but since it's #griper season I'm being generous. This song literally transformed me as an MC, so I hope you feel it as much as I did when you listen...Much Love!  -Traff

Before the thought of Griper was even a "Thing," I was in the middle of a personal conflict that required internal battling in order to find my voice, pen ink and lines on the blank pages again that I had grown tired of trying to decorate. A year after my dude Steve was taken from us violently in the Tri-Cities I found myself talking to him and looking for guidance I wasn't sure existed. Sitting on my couch with an acoustic guitar I asked him to help me finally write, create and finish something new I could be proud of and use as my first steps out of darkness. This may sound crazy and impossible, but it felt as if he visited me, grabbed my pen and allowed me to channel him as equally as I was channeling my old self. The end result was this song "Natural Disaster." Its the reason why i was able to write again, get back to my future and accomplish the task of releasing a new album. In my opinion, this is the best song i've ever written and performed. I'm confident nothing will ever rival it's importance to my soul from now until I'm gone. Featuring Jacque Jolene of Copper Mountain Band only made this melody more appealing. The production process i shared with Wade Made and Matt Olsen captured the exact sound I always knew was there. Most importantly the mixing process of Larkin Matoon having to combine the endless tracks we used really made it what it is now. I know this song is for sale with the purchase of Griper at www.traffthewiz.com but I dont have the strength or patience to keep this from the ears of friends and family who I need to hear it most. Here is my gift to YOU! I hope you find what I found from start to finish, now until eternity, til' death do us part.

I didn't know Tom Petty was going to die but im sure glad i got to make this song subconsciously in memory of him...plus, he cant sue me now cause he's dead. When I used to work at Stage 112 my manager for some reason wouldn't teach me how to make a martini so i wrote a song about it...only the chorus really relates to that, but the versus cut deep into my life growing up in the 406.
