Als 'Entschädigung' erhielten wir ihr Live-Set vom diesjährigen Mayan Warrior Camp. Say what? Ich bin beim Hören nicht mehr aus dem Grinsen herausgekommen und hoffe, dass es euch mindestens genauso gut gefällt, wie mir. Passend zu den letzten Sonnenstrahlen des Jahres 'schwooft' das Set gemächlich und mit einer Menge Leichtigkeit über die auditiven Felder unseres Bewusstseins. Wahrlich zum Verlieben. With her RAAR imprint, the label she runs alongside techno and electro luminary Maelstrom, she's been pushing a darker more distinct sound than ever before and its bleak, unsettling edge coincides with the turbulent world we're living in at the moment.

Her latest offering is the 'A Trap I've Built'​ EP and it's her most visceral, unnerving and powerful release to date. With a more instrument-led aesthetic and a raw, unrelenting theme running throughout, it's a record that will most certainly put you on edge, but that's the point. 

"'A Trap I’ve Built' is an intentionally brutal body of work. Wading through murky themes of rape culture, addiction, masochism and deprivation, whatever isn't explicitly lyricised bleeds through in a sonic ambush. It is my intention that listening to these songs, or DJing them, should be an experience that leaves the audience a little shaken up, something they can feel in their teeth.​"

Now they are back with the masterful 'Terrafirme EP' containing 4 brilliantly arranged tracks with huge grooves for the dance floors and astonishing melodies for the soul. 

The duo start the EP with the strong hypnotic bass and immersive progressive textures of "Gayatheia", following up with the echoing Techno drums of 'Cratos' and the magically written harmony of the tittle single 'Terrafirme'. And then closing this beautiful EP we find the very special "night Mix" of 'Cratos', which lead our way into rolling grooves of darkness and percussive perfection.

One of my most favourite record labels became 20 this year. Hospital Productions was founded in 1998 when Dominick Fernow was 16 years old. Cassettes and CDrs were released in its early years, many of Fernow's own creations under the name Prurient, as well as various local acts. Fernow is a prolific artist recording under numerous aliases including Vatican Shadow, Fernow is best known for his dark and abrasive musical output under the stage name Prurient.

Over the next year (Nov 2017 – 2018) Electronic Explorations will be celebrating 10 years. 10 years of publishing music by Rob Booth's most favourite artists and labels. For this 10th anniversary celebration Booth has approached those labels that have kept the quality high, those labels that Booth has a close connection too. Hospital Productions kicks the Label Series off - and what better timing with the label celebrating their own 20 year milestone.

His music is characterized by deep, fine and ethereal melodies with a well production technique of years that have made him an exceptional musician.

In the new edition of Uxoa Dutxa Elite the boss Di Rugerio is back presenting his new sonorous material called Aeternis in conjunction with his new musical project Realm Of Chaos, likewise including an excellent remix by the Spanish Th Moy.

Aeternis is a deeply melodic theme, an arpeggio arises in sequence from the beginning adding new percussive elements and synthesizers that give support to the main melody that reaches the climax in the break with great emotion and that takes us to an abstract journey of thoughts about our ephemeral existence.

Th Moy give us a real musical jewel starting up in a clean way with percussions, synthesizers and with a new and powerful melody in the bass with sounds taken from the Moog then the magic arises with the main melody but with ethereal sounds.
In the first break, a hypnotic arpeggio emerges and together with the battery and previous melodies the Spanish musician raises us to a state of ecstasy until the second break resulting in a sublime reinterpretation masterpiece.

DHS Premiere: Di Rugerio feat Realm Of Chaos - Aeternis (Th Moy Remix)

Anthony Linell was formerly known as Abdulla Rashim, the centre piece of a Stockholm techno collective who have been at the sharp end of the scene for the last few years. Mixing up club grooves with exploratory experimental music, the intriguing and mysterious artist runs the Northern Electronics label and, at the same time, put out much of his own music on his Abdulla Rashim Records. A master of atmosphere and hypnotic grooves that cannot fail to suck you in, this year alone has seen him put out two albums and an EP under his real name. The sounds are just as absorbing as always, and mix up dark ambiance with dungeon synth and desolate sonic landscapes. 

All this carries over into his DJ work, and the mix he has served up for us here is a beautifully bleak and lonely one. Underpinned by slick rubbery drums and detailed with everything from funeral to sci-fi to subliminal synths, it’s an intriguing musical rabbit hole that gets weirder and more unreal the further down it you go.
